Blue Hill House of Pizza — Restaurant in Boston

I don't frequent this end of Blue Hill Ave often, but the food at this place is fantastic. I ordered the fish & chips and was amazed at the seasoning and flavor. I wanted a shrimp & fish combo, but it isn't on the menu. The guy on the phone offered to sell them $1 a piece. I don't really like coleslaw, but I wasn't mad at this one (even with the rasins). Everything was so fresh and good. Went back a few weeks later to try something different, and ordered the chicken & plantains dinner and the steak kabobs plate. They were out of rice but offered just about every way to eat fries, and the plantains were cooked nicely and salted. The grilled chicken was flavorful, and the steak, peppers & onions were nicely cooked and flavorful as well. The guy at the counter had a welcoming persona and was happy to suggest substitutions. He was also patient while I looked for my card that I thought I had left at home, and gave me a complimentary can of soda. The dinner plates are a good portion and delicious. I can't wait to try the regular sub/pizza part of the menu. If I could suggest 1 thing, I would hope they would offer a 2 seafood combo plate, or a side of shrimp of whatever other seafood. It bothers me that I have to give 1 star when I've ordered from this place for a long time. I love the food but there have been too many times an item I ordered was forgotten and didn’t get dropped off until the rest of the food was cold or almost eaten. My husbands order was made wrong and the guy on the phone said “I don’t know what you want me to do about it” I was surprised by the customer service he was giving because the people are always nice. His response disturbed us and is the reason for this bad review. The food is great and I’m sure business will continue to flourish as we would want, just don’t lose sight of the reason you started your business. There will be mistakes but how you handle your customers is important and can either be your level up or your down fall. In other words be mindful of people that choose your business to spend their money at especially during these hard times we all are facing. We had every right to be upset and you dropped the ball. The food is passable, I get burgers there occasionally, when I’m in the area. My issue with the place is the guy that takes orders. He is extremely rude! I asked if they could put all the burger condiments on the top bun instead of the bottom bun. A simple request or so I thought. This guy started to yell at me about, I quote, “I’m tired of you people asking for things that we don’t do.” He then proceeded to say in a mocking voice “put the ketchup on the top mustard on the bottom, I’m so sick of you people” I was shocked at his response.
