I would give the food a 5 star rating but the fact that recently they decided they won’t deliver after 5pm to my home even though he m in a locked building with security and I always tip 5 or more depending what we spend. I wanted to give you guys a better rating but the fact that we have no way to eat your food and became instant loyal customers since the day we first ordered. Almost every week today would have been lunch and dinner super lazy day for us. But after being refused service I will have to take my business elsewhere and also change my views. 5pm is far too early to stop serving your customer base in delivery. I felt discriminated against and I always am respectful I am probably one of the few customers who have called you guys to thank you and not complain about my food order. I will let my foodie friends and neighbors know you guys refuse to deliver and service anywhere over here. 1 person does something wrong so a whole neighborhood loses out. Even good customers. My family spends too much on take out with busy days and this will rarely fit in our time schedule. Maybe it’s because I’m Muslim wouldn’t be surprised that’s...

I ordered the combination seafood platter, clam chowder, and buffalo wings through Uber eats. I was excited to try this place as I heard good things from my colleagues and the staff at the hotel who are regulars.

I was really disappointed to find that my platter was missing a side and my buffalo wings were missing the blue cheese dip. Unfortunately I have found that when ordering from a hotel room, restaurants always seem to conveniently forget a few items as they think we will never return.

I'm a flight attendant and I come to Boston often. I'll be sure to tell my colleagues to think twice before ordering online from here. I don't appreciate restaurants ripping visitors off like that.

Other than that, good effort was made to keep the food warm. The deep fried items were okay. Clam chowder was good. Buffalo wings were soggy and too sour, and that blue cheese would have saved it if they had included it.

I paid over 70 USD for an underwhelming experience. Uber refunded me a measly 2 USD for the inconvenience. Next week when I'm back in Boston I'll get my seafood...

Royal's is an institution in East Boston. For over 15 years I have been a customer except for those 3 or 4 years when I was on a diet... oh well! The food is good. The roast beef is consistent. Portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. Sure, there are a few menu items I wish they carried... eh hem, chocolate frappes. The service has truly impressed me over the years. Tonight, I placed an order for a tasty dinner for me and my wife. Usually the preparation and delivery are unbelievably fast, like 15 minutes from order to my door! This time nearly an hour had passed but still no food, so I called. Well, it turned out I accidentally selected Pick Up! Holy cow! But guess what, the nice guy on the phone was completely cool and not only are they remaking my fries, but they are sending the delivery order right away. Just so refreshing these days to receive some basic decency, some genuinely understanding friendly consideration and unexpected good service. So, thanks, Royal's. Thanks for filling our bellies all these years and thanks for the genuinely good and...

Went based on the awesome reviews, but maybe everyone here likes bland, unseasoned fish? I'll give the place some credit though, my husband said the tartar sauce was excellent (I don't eat it), the portions were large, the food was hot and the fish tasted fresh. But when you are cooking a white fish like haddock, everyone knows the fish itself is mostly tasteless so the seasoning is what makes it great. There was zero seasoning, not even salt and pepper, in the breading. They just did a plain flour breading and fried it. I tolerated a few of the fish bites before I gave up trying to enjoy it, and that was after I added some salt and pepper myself. It wasn't worth the $18 for the plate. But again, if you're dipping it into the tartar, then you'll probably enjoy it. I think we are just spoiled with great tasting fish being from NC.

We went here because it looked good and was close to where we were staying for the night. It looked real good but it tasted even better! I could not recommend the Steak Bomb Sub and Super Roast Beef Sandwich with BBQ sauce enough! And the Broiled Haddock Sub was excellent as well. The service was great too, the guy who was there by the cashier talked to us and gave us a lot of good tips on how to get around Boston. You can tell they know the community and you get the sense of being a part of a local place. It's a lot of amazing food for really good prices. Definitely check this place out! Edit: We went back here because we were in Boston again and we had an equally great experience. And that super nice guy's name is John. This time I got a picture. I still couldn't recommend them enough!
