Sweet Rice Charlestown Thai Sushi — Restaurant in Boston

This place is super weird. The food was average and ok for the price, not noteworthy. But the main issue is the atmosphere of the place, the wait staff are extremely unwelcoming and made almost leave if I hadn’t already paid for the food. No one greets you as you enter and then you are met with the most hostile hostess who seems upset when each person approaches them. There was a quick misunderstanding on takeout versus Dine In due to me mumbling. Then she made it seem like I was asking for too much for a table. when I asked if I could use the bathroom she responded with an annoyed “sure” and an eye roll. Then proceeded to return with my food later and lecture me on proper restaurant etiquette and not even saying enjoy your meal. Again, if I hadn’t paid I would’ve let, because after all that I had to put in my headphones to block out the noise of the employees talking about me in their native language unaware I am fluent. Overall, if you order delivery barely worth the price or quality. But just don’t go In Person unless you want to be met with an attitude and feel uncomfortable. Forget kid friendly they are barely people-friendly. Really...

Wasn't too hungry, it was late. I wasn't in charge of the food plans but needless to say we found this slice of heaven. The decor is say the "FRIENDS CAFE" and "PATTY'S PUB" but with a "Thai " flare? Who cares i felt welcome and at ease. I was hesitant to try the Thai coffee. .but I did...it was pretty much iced coffee but it was better some way...I order the Shrimp Tempura roll..Bang Bang...whew...maybe it was just super fresh either way it was amazing....every slice was filled with shrimpy tempury magic...I'm talking David Blane...with every bite my mind was tricked into thinking I was hungry so that I would take just one more bite.....the food trickery was full blown...this place was amazing to say the...

We order take out for delivery from this restaurant fairly often. The food is good but never consistent you can tell they never have the same cook. The last time I called for delivery the food never showed up. I called they said the delivery person never showed up to pick it up. My food had been sitting there for an hour and they were planning to deliver it as soon as he arrived. They said it’s not their driver blamed the company they sub out to. They could have called and I would have picked it up. This free delivery is a great convenience but the food it too expensive to eat after sitting on the counter for over an hour not to mention not likely safe. Just sent someone to get it.
