If you are looking for a bakery, a quality bakery, in Charlestown (or Boston as a whole), this is it. The food is excellent. The scones are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside as they should be. The bread is fantastic and unique. They have sugar that is flavored with saffron, cinnamon, and cardamom for your coffee. There is an attention to detail (the artwork, the music, and of course, the food) that is refreshing and really makes the experience of eating here worthwhile. Yes, the food is excellent (as noted above) but it’s also what you want for a breakfast conversation, or study spot, or reprieve from the daily grind. I like this place and you will too.

This shop was recommended by my girlfriend, so we went together to try their coffee and baked goods. We ordered the pistachio croissant, pizza, and coffee. The pistachio croissant had a lovely nutty flavor, was creamy, and not overly sweet — just the way I like it. Everything about it was spot on. As for the pizza, I really enjoyed the contrast of the crispy crust and the soft, fluffy inside, along with the juicy, flavorful sauce. Overall, I was really impressed. This is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to — can’t wait to try more of their bakery items!

We were on our way to a birthday dinner at a famous restaurant in Boston when we happened to see a bakery that was still open a little late. I went inside to check it out, and even though they only had two kinds of cakes left, it was definitely worth it! One of them was a raspberry-strawberry cheesecake, it had a delicious icy, sweet-and-sour flavor that we loved. I couldn’t resist and bought some because it was so yummy! The bakery itself was quite spacious and definitely worth trying. Loved it!

This bakery is absolutely superb. I stopped by recently with my family of 6, everything we ordered was wonderful.

First off: highest praise for the military and first responders discount, 30% off! I almost did a happy dance when I saw my Bill drop from $110+ to 80-something. (Please note again family of 6 and we got meals, desserts and drinks)

Pizza: giant gourmet slices for ~$7; one slice is plenty for quick lunch bite (especially if you’re leaving room for a bakery item, which I highly recommend); 3 of us ordered the mushroom ricotta, 1 cheese, yum!

Olive Hummus Sandwich: a work of art; bread was toothsome-delightfully chewy; house-made hummus with greens, feta, roasted red peppers and black and green olives; wonderful combination!

Egg Bun: In a word, the fresh home-baked flavors of the egg, avocado, bacon, seedy mustard, and cheese (not American, really who likes that?) were perfectly blended to make one smile.

Fruit Croissant: Wow, fresh fruit with thick layered homemade cream. Recommended to share for two but splitting it is a bit sporty. It’s so good you can eat the whole thing but a bit rich after a giant slice of gourmet pizza (see above). Price may seem a bit high, but totally worth it.

Pear scone: Looked a bit dinky relative to the fruit croissant, but family reports ‘dense, buttery, scone not too sweet with bright sweetness in the lemon icing on the top; pairs well with the Something Fogg tea (see below)’

Something Fogg: Nice creamy tea; not too sweet (some places load the ‘Foggs’ with way too much sugar syrup). Very pleasant mellow taste , good rainy day tea looking out the front window of the cozy store

Chai: Family reports ‘hot, creamy, spicy-sweet’. Well done

Sugar cubes: I’ve never seen flavored sugar cubes before; 3 flavors: cinnamon, saffron, cardamom. A bit awkward as they were loose with no tongs…. Do I just grab a cube with my hands? We ended up with two approaches. 1. Grab cube while being careful to not touch others. 2. Use a napkin to grab a cube. Recommendation 1:Go with the napkin. Recommendation 2: The cardamom cubes don’t melt if you drop them in cold water, no worries though, I found out that crunching them towards the end of the glass is a nice treat as well.

Vibe: Music was upbeat 80’s; kids said it was not to their taste, dad was rockin’ out to ‘Jesse’s girl’; art on the wall was a bit ‘interesting’ but to each his own.

Bathroom: Worked and clean, no mysterious...

I was excited to have a true coffee shop open back up in town. I'm typically an espresso-only drinker and it is very good here. However, I've also tried out a few of their specialty lattes as well as the regular coffee and have been underwhelmed; the coffee and lattes are almost always lukewarm.

The pastries are good and I love that they offer day-old pastries at a discount. The menu could use a few more non-pastry breakfast items, the breakfast sandwich is OK (the bun is the best part), flatbreads are excellent.

Someone mentioned a pet peeve being that they don't have any glassware and use paper plates. Same here. I understand that they're still getting things squared away but it seems odd to open a new location without that and it's been several months now. It would definitely improve things a bit!

For the moment, I will continue to stop by and limit myself to the espresso and croissants, but it's quite expensive for a somewhat...

Awesome bakery! Super cozy and inviting atmosphere, and delicious and unique food. I live in Charlestown and have been looking forward to this place opening, as I have heard great things about their Cambridge location, and my first visit did not disappoint! The owners are super welcoming and friendly, and you can tell they are excited to be part of the community.

The breads and pastries are not just delicious—they’re works of art! I highly recommend the egg sandwich at breakfast, and the pear lemon thyme scones, as well as their specialty breads and cookies. They also offer gourmet tray pizzas and cakes that look absolutely divine—I can’t wait to come back and try them!

If you’re looking for a place that combines exceptional food with a welcoming vibe, this is it. This bakery is a gem -...
