The workplace has a clear bias in favor of female employees, while men are treated unfairly and bullied. And yes, it IS bullying—not just “banter”—because they can’t take what they dish out. Staff frequently gossip in Spanish, assuming others won’t understand, which is unprofessional and divisive. Newsflash: plenty of Americans took Spanish in school, so we know when you’re talking about us. Denying it is even more disrespectful. The arrogance and ignorance here are through the roof. Customers have complained about the language barrier for years. Don’t hire a token English speaker just to handle English-speaking customers while shielding non-English-speaking staff, then fail to train the team to treat that person fairly. It sets them up to fail and creates unnecessary stress. Don’t cram six months of training into one and then yell at him for showing normal frustration—while female staff act however they want with zero consequences. Train your team leads not to send staff on errands during legally protected lunch breaks—yes, it happened, and it’s illegal. Stop handing out positions to people who don’t deserve them. Train your staff on sexual harassment: one lead pressured me multiple times to hit on customers, then falsely accused me of inappropriate behavior in the bathroom because I was in there longer than a minute. He even asked a female customer if she wanted to go out with me while I was minding my own business. One female team lead also tried to seduce me by dancing suggestively near me, even though she was married; if I’d given in even a little, I would’ve been reported. Read moreThe manager of this store (female, I think name starts with an N) needs to be fired. I placed a mobile pickup order through Grubhub. Picked up order and opened it in store. The steak and all the ingredients were missing besides the pickled onion and egg I had added those items as mods along with Caesar and balsamic. I showed the manager thinking they had accidentally missed placing the steak and other ingredients in the order. She refused to fix the order, even after seeing proof of payment and the order confirmation listing what I had ordered and payed for. She claimed they could only put in the salad what was listed on the ticket. Which made no sense because then why wouldn’t she at least put my steak that is listed in the title on my salad. It was clear she just wanted to be rude and prove a point, I’m not sure why. It was a simple and easy fix and I clearly had proof of payment and my order listed. She was rude, unhelpful and not great at communication. She didn’t seem to like her job and had no customer service skills. How do you give a customer who payed for a steak salad, just kale. Read moreI went in to get some food but to also return a drink I bought 2 days ago when I was there. The taste was way off like it had gone bad and had a weird bitter bite to it. They kept trying to brush it off like it was just because the tea is unsweetened. I know the tea is unsweetened. I drink Unsweetened tea, that is not the problem. Offered me a refund or replacement- then promptly rescinded the offer, demanding my receipt. I also ordered the hot honey chicken plate. My plate was made and waited next to her at the register next to her as I looked for the receipt. Then as I am at the register, looking for the receipt for the drink someone comes from the back to swap out my already proportioned and covered plate. I look up at the woman, a manager who came out to speak to me about the drink, and she just laughed. I leave. I go to eat, food definitely does not taste as good as usual but on top of that there is a weird suddenly strong bad flavor I cannot identify. I spit it out and throw the rest of the plate away. I later feel sick and super out of it later.
