3 stars but I’d want to go back and try other dishes before ruling them out. Part of the reason is they are probably one of the closest Chinese restaurant by us.
Please keep in mind the below review is based on a to go order and was not eaten in house.
Family friendly: Yes Parking: Yes, shared spaces with other retail in the plaza Pet friendly: No
FOOD: General Tso’s Chicken (medium spice) $15.95: 3 stars. Visually, the individual chicken breading are decently sized. Most pieces is 1-2 bites but if you’re not being dainty, you can definitely shovel down in a bite. The size of the actual chicken is small. The restaurant disguises it with double the breading LOL. Since it’s sauced, I can’t tell you if it’s crispy or not. Taste wise it taste like standard general tso chicken. Nothing special but taste pretty decent. You do get a doughy taste due to the amount of breading. REHEATING: Usually I don’t have leftovers - either cause it tasted really good or was so bad I didn’t want to take it home…. Anyway, reheating surprising didn’t taste worse. It was kind of the same lol Salt and Pepper Pork Chop $15.95: 4 stars ONLY because it tasted better when reheated. Visually, they were a decent size but similar to the chicken, the pork pieces were smaller than expected when you first look at it. Double the breading. Taste wise compared to the chicken, I’d definitely get the pork over the chicken due to size and taste. I loved the salt-pepper, chili, Scallion taste. Personal preference but it was weird that they had “long” pieces of Scallion. Usually I’ve only seen the thin cuts of scallions. REHEATING: Definitely gave this dish a level up. Maybe if we had the dish at the restaurant it would have been the same as reheating it in the air fryer..??? It crunch from air frying and the spice made this dish 4 stars. Beef brisket wonton noodle soup (not on the menu) $15.95: This wasn’t on the menu but we ordered it because we saw someone else eating it when we went in to order our to-go order. I only ate pieces of this dish as this was something my mom ordered. Her answer if this was good was “your dad makes it a lot better.” The beef brisket and collagen pieces I would say are on the smaller size but very tender and flavorful. The dish only comes with 3 wonton pieces. Besides more wonton, Mm mom wished they included daikon pieces that normally is used for the broth.
RESTAURANT and MENU: The restaurant is in a small strip mall so it’s not a big restaurant. The interior looks like what you expect from a quick Chinese fast food place. There was a mix of Asian and American diners. For those that use this rule, you know who you are, that’s kind of a way to judge how the food would be lol
The menu is pretty large and only in English which I guess shows they lean towards the English speaking crowd. The Chinese dishes on the menu, which makes up approx 95% of the menu, is very Americanized, meaning it’s stuff you find in the very touristy part of any city. They do have a few Thai items mixed in which I’m not sure if ordered from a Chinese place.
SERVICE: Since we didn’t dine in, I don’t have a huge perspective on their customer service. I’d say it’s what you expect from any...
Read moreHaving moved to Washington almost 3 years ago from California I have come to realize there is a dearth of authentic Chinese restaurants here. Plenty of Teriyaki joints, but very few Chinese. With literally 2 options within miles of my house I have always held out on trying PC Chinese due to the prices (exorbitant to say the least) but with a real hankering for Chinese I decided to give them a try tonight….my mistake.
I placed an online order for delivery at 6:20pm with an expected delivery time of 30-40 minutes, my food arrived at 7:38pm. My order consisted of a cup of Wonton soup, Salted Fish and Chicken fried rice, and Teriyaki chicken (not something I would normally order but figured with the ridiculous amount of Teriyaki places up here it would be a safe bet, wrong). My order totaled $35.
While the food tasted decent, it was definitely not mind blowing and was absolutely overpriced based on quantity, quality, and presentation. The Wonton soup had a good base broth but the Wontons were obviously premade and added to the broth as the soup was ordered. Mine tasted like they hadn’t been warmed through and the noodle tasted undercooked and rubbery. At the many Teriyaki places I’ve gone to they take a chicken breast and cut it up, here it seemed like the chicken was again either prepackaged or maybe made ahead of time – thin slices of chicken that had a rubbery quality to them. Which leaves the fried rice, which really shouldn’t be that hard to mess up but I couldn’t even discern the pieces of fish and chicken that were supposed to be in it, although I knew they were there (at least the fish) because of the smell.
Overall pretty poor experience from the wait to the cost – none of this meal was worth it. So sad since there is a real opportunity for some good Chinese food up here. I will absolutely not be returning nor could I ever recommend this place based on my experience. Be forewarned, all the glowing reviews are either fake, paid for, or from real Chinese...
Read moreI have been there 2 times the first we ordered out and I remembered thinking that it wasn't great but it has been years since that experience and my normal favorite Chinese restaurant was closed so I thought I would give it another try. So sorry I did. The food was expensive and subpar to say the least. The bbq fried rice was good and the almond chicken was okay, and my husband said the spring rolls were good but the Mongolian beef was super rubbery and the sauce did not taste right, the crab ragoons should be called creamcheese ragoons because there was no noticeable trace of crab in them. The egg flour soup was so bland that I couldn't eat it... (yes I know egg flower soup is bland in general I LOVE egg flower soup normally this was just extra bland and had a weird taste to it) but I think one of my biggest complaints was for dine in service they served our food in Styrofoam to go containers, very thin cheap Styrofoam plates, all our soups and sauces were in Styrofoam containers and the utensils they gave us were the super cheap flimsy plastic silverware. Trying to dish up with those was a pain in the a** . They never once came to check on us or asked if we needed anything. When we went to leave they asked how everything was. We were polite and said fine but I will never go back. If I wanted to eat off cheap disposable plates and use plastic silverware I would just go to panda it would be way cheaper and the food would...
