Food truck brick and mortar location. Overall not a bad place to grab a quick bite would come back for the fried chicken and proximity of location.
Parking: yes, shared Pet friendly: Yes, IF you sit at their one table located outside. Family friendly: Yes but the "restaurant" is extremely small with only about 4 tables in a very tight space.
FOOD:
Seoul Chicken (8pcs Original Korean Fried Chicken Wings, fries, and choice of side dish) $15.50: We selected the Kalbi sauce (Soy garlic) which is very sticky, slightly sweet, and VERY peppery. It borders as too much pepper but oddly I enjoyed it a lot but my husband did not. The fry on the chicken is insanely good. The chicken drumstick and wings are already pretty big but that extra layer of super crisp and crunch is really good. Its hard to keep that when its sauce but they do a really good job of it.
Sweet & Spicy Chicken Sandwich (Seasoned fried chicken thigh, asian salad, soy pickled jalapeno, house special yum yum sauce on toasted brioche bun) $11.99: I really liked the chicken sandwich cause of the texture and moistness but didnt like their sweet & spicy sauce. It was too sugary for me but not my husband - apparently we have very different taste buds when it comes to sauced fried chicken LOL). The Asian salad and yum yum sauce compliments the chicken but I didnt get much of the pickled jalapeno.
Bulgogi Kimchi Cheese Fries (Fries with Bulgogi, Korean Kimchi, mozzarella cheese, sweet soy sauce, and yum yum sauce) Small $6.00: We got the small since we had already ordered so much food. The fries could have been a little bit more well done (personal preference) and I wish the cheese was melted instead of just thrown on top. Even with that said, I would still order this again! The bulgogi added a touch of sweetness that mixed will with the kimchi and yum yum sauce!
RESTAURANT and MENU: Good location as its on the corner of a major shopping plaza. The restaurant itself is very small so if you have a large group, do not plan to eat there especially if there are any other patrons already there. There is one four-top table outside that could be "pet friendly."
The menu is minimal which I like for a cuisine specific restaurant. They are a food truck that expanded so their menu has followed them from truck to B&M.
SERVICE: The service was okay ... I say this cause our contact was pretty minimal and not because of COVID protocol. I think they were just so busy with pick up orders that they took our order and kind of left us alone. I do like like that they delivered the food to the table since it started getting a little packed by the front due to all the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I want to start this off saying, Iām not just some random customer who came in, had a bad experience and decided to give a 1 star review.
It pains me enough to say this because Iāve had this back in their food truck era. When the Bothell location opened, I was a regular. Food quality, portions, service was great. Unfortunately within the past year, all of that has severely degraded.
Incorrect orders, quality of food, service has all gone down. I used to love their bowls, but unfortunately the chicken is dry and pulls like beef jerky, the bulgogi beef lacks flavor and really what keeps getting me to come back is the sides. Today, I ordered two bowls (online order) and they completely forgot the Asian Salad in one, and barely put any sauce in the other. After giving multiple chances and going at different times of day, unfortunately itās all the same and I donāt think I would see myself going back.
Let this serve as an opportunity for management to improve. Look into less of whatās wrong and more to understand what happened. Remember, at the start, everything was great. I will say, once more staff started to get hired, is when the food and experience started to go down.
Hope this helps to change things cause this place is good. Unfortunately, itās not what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in on a whim and am so happy I did. The portions are great and the price is right. The food is so flavorful and fresh. The space was very clean and modern, with 4-5 tables in the smaller lobby. Employees were kind, professional and very helpful in explaining all the options to me.
I got a bowl with bulgogi beef. The toppings are unlimited for no extra charge. I split rice and the glass noodles as my base. The rice was cooked well, but my family definitely preferred the glass noodles. They were so good! The toppings I chose for the bowl were Korean kimchi, cucumber kimchi, sweet mashed potatoes, corn, Asian salad, pickled radish and a soy egg. They also have caramelized onions and soy pickled jalapeƱos, which I chose to skip.
I also ordered the chicken sandwich. It was made with a fried chicken thigh, which was super moist and flavorful. The sweet honey sauce on the sandwich was fantastic. The sandwich was a good size, and along with the fries, filled my husband up.
We are so lucky to have a Seoul Bowl here in Canyon Park. Thanks for a...
