KT's BBQ — Restaurant in Boulder

I was never really a fan of this place because they just pour a ton of barbecue sauce and that Jhune bowl they have. And I am a very strong believer that true barbecue doesn’t need any sauce whatsoever. And I think many would agree with me on that believe. So quit dumping tons of barbecue to overpower the meat and the other food with just sugar. That does not take any skill whatsoever. Anyone can open a shop and do that but not everyone can properly smoke a meat bringing me to my next point - unless they changed something you could never just order brisket by the pound here. You can only get brisket on like sandwiches which I think is a waste and covers up the flavor of the brisket. It would be nice if you could just get brisket by the pound here and then you can really call yourself a true...

This was my second time to KTs. My first visit was to the Arapahoe location. This location was much better. We dine later and the other KTs had dried out pork. This location did have fresh, tastey, and moist pork. The mashed potatoes rocked. The Mac and cheese got trash canned, it was closer to a rice like consistency(dry) , rather than cheesy. It's a little rough around the edges and I'd says it's closer to a BBQ shack. Than a restaurant, and it is not a must eat, but it will suffice. When dealing in BBQ, it probably is Hard to keep everything fresh through a long day, so I'm gonna say it's so far hit or miss, but enough has been shown to say, they need to be better and customers will flock! Also a brown sugar BBQ sauce would help bring more spectrum of customers...

We used KT's for our wedding catering and the entire experience was wonderful! Erin was so good at keeping in touch with and figuring out exactly what we needed to best fit our party size and was able to answer every question we had. The caterers on the day of did an amazing job, showing up exactly on time and then setting up everything perfectly in the somewhat limited space that we had provided for them. They even helped with the cake serving after the dinner was done. The BBQ meats are always great but the veggie black bean chili and the orzo were delicious!! Everyone told me how good the food was!
