Skratch Labs Table and Flagship Store — Restaurant in Boulder

Tried out the new Skratch location today and left with an empty wallet, unsatiated belly, and splitting headache. I was the biggest fan of the old Skratch labs on Main, but the new location is so loud my waiter couldn't even hear me to take my order. Not a good place to meet a friend for lunch, because you'll be able to hear them less than you would at the local college bar's happy hour. The Skratch bowl's prices have been raised to the point where a rice bowl with egg now cost $20 - I'd be okay with it if the quality had stayed amazing and the portion size was reasonable for lunch, but it's been reduced to more of a large snack size than a meal. I could easily eat two of the new rice bowls for lunch. Everything looked kind of haphazardly slapped onto the plate like someone couldn't be bothered to take the time to the scoop the full portion of each ingredient, and I had to go back up to the counter to get my my garlic chili sauce, that the waiter forgot to offer me when I ordered. Super bummed that one of my regular healthy spots is no more. I probably wouldn't have disliked it so much if I wasn't spoiled by the high quality meal I was served (for less $$) at the OG location. This place is more reliable than 1987 Toyota 4Runner. And dare I say it; just about as good for your soul, but perhaps not your pocket book, as I come here at least once a week as part of my routine. That’s my problem…I digress.

Although I don’t waiver from the rice bowl+egg and the rice tots; the menu offers truly fresh ingredients and balanced fuel for elites, midpackers and even the pearl street FKT mall walkers.

The staff are friendly, quick to greet, know the menu well and always happy to accommodate any dietary preferences.

Shoutout to the kitchen team for their artistic skills behind the scenes and ensuring that each experience means a great meal. Honestly the rice bowl is just beautiful…reminds me of seeing Kelly LeBrock in Weird Science for the first time…but like, non GMO.

Could not have better things to say about this place. Traveling and staying in Boulder for a month, this has very quickly become our favorite spot for coffee and lunch (while doing a bit of work!). We will miss this place!

Their coffee is amazing (cortados have a nice strong coffee flavor) and with their food... they have the perfect menu i.e. a few things done VERY, very well.

They have delicious snacks (rice cakes and pastries) that are freshly made and the most AMAZING bowls. Each ingredient in their 'scratch bowl' is super fresh and has perfectly balanced flavors and textures. You can add protein and interestingly, whilst chicken is personally my least favorite meat (often too dry), their fried chicken is absolutely my favorite, ridiculously crunchy with super tender meat inside.

Lastly, their customer service is top notch. You can tell the staff and owners really care about this place, and are genuinely...
