The Bohemian Biergarten, nestled in Boulder, Colorado, invites you with open arms. Wooden picnic tables, adorned with flickering candles, create an intimate space. The walls, adorned with vintage beer signs and old-world maps, tell stories of distant lands. Conversations blend seamlessly with the clinking of glasses—a symphony of contentment.
The Brews: A Passport to Europe Embark on a beer-tasting adventure. The menu boasts an impressive array of European drafts—from the hoppy delights of Germany to the malty treasures of Belgium. My favorite? The Czech Pilsner, crisp and golden like a sun-kissed afternoon. Each sip transports you to cobblestone streets and lively beer gardens across the continent.
Gastronomic Delights: Sausages, Pretzels, and Goulash The kitchen, tucked away in a corner, works its magic. The scent of sizzling sausages mingles with the yeasty warmth of freshly baked pretzels. Opt for the bratwurst platter, a hearty ensemble of juicy sausages, tangy sauerkraut, and mustard. And oh, the goulash—a rich stew that whispers secrets of Hungarian grandmothers. It pairs perfectly with a pint of dark ale.
Conversations and Laughter The communal spirit is infectious. Strangers become friends over shared stories and clinking mugs. The guy next to you, a backpacker from Prague, regales you with tales of castle-hopping and midnight trams. The couple across the table debates the merits of stout versus porter. And you? You soak it all in, your heart warmed by the camaraderie.
The Night Unfurls As the stars emerge, the Biergarten transforms. Fairy lights dance above your head, casting a soft glow on the laughter lines etched around weary eyes. The live accordion player strikes up a lively tune, and suddenly, you're a dancer in this whimsical ballad of beer and friendship.
In the end, the Bohemian Biergarten isn't just a place—it's a feeling. A reminder that life's best moments unfold when we raise our glasses, share our stories, and savor the simple...
Read moreOutstanding experience from the moment we walked into the door. Always looking for tip notch German cuisine and in Colorado that is easier said than done. Enter Bohemian Biergarten. We drove up from castle rock to give this highly rated kitchen a go, and we were heavily rewarded with an amazing dining experience 100% worthy of the hype and praise.
The restaurant itself has so much character and charm that I highly recommend dining in if possible. Absolutely stunning decor and ambiance truly make the experience one to remember.
The food was on point in every manner and exuded a heavy attention to detail that most restaurants wish they could achieve. The beer selection was excellent and included all the German staples one could hope for. The cuisine was all amazing with high notes that included the Fried Gnocci (buttery and crisp outside with an inside that just melts I your mouth) the beet salad was excellently balanced and beautiful. The special of the day was a braised pork shoulder that came on a bed of braised cabbage and spatzle, served with a knife that was quickly set aside because the pork was so fork tender it just fell apart and was beautiful paired with a mustard jus that elevated the plate to a heavenly experience from first to last bite. The Austrian spatzle and potato salad was also excellent.
We absolutely stuffed ourselves and opted to take desert to go, which in itself can be difficult to pull off but the apple strudel was packaged with love and attention to detail that made reheating and serving later in the evening easy and flawless. Absolutely delicious.
As a chef who has been working in kitchens for 18yrs I know what it takes to make or break a truly exceptional dining experience and I can safely say this kitchen hits all the marks, you won't be disappointed. I sent in some friends the very next day and they all echoed my enthusiasm and pleasure of the experience. Well done team, you should all...
Read moreI made a reservation tonight for stampede at 4:45. We arrived at 4:40 and got seated. We didn’t receive any other attention for over 20 minutes. During those 20 minutes, the hostess sat another table of 6, and gave them water and water glasses. Then, a server came out and hit every table besides ours. While he talked to a 2 top that got there before us, he turned around to scan his new tables. He then went to the 6-top and took their order. He then went to a different table and took their payment at the table. While taking their payment, he looked at us and we thought, he’s going to get to us next. Nope. He then went into the back. We sat there for another minute or so and decided to leave. Also during this whole time, the hostess and another employee were milling around, pulling glasses off of other tables, while we sat there trying to make eye contact to get someone to notice us. Once we got up to leave, my boyfriend went to the bartender in the front room to explain what happened, and was met with the response of “sorry dude” I went to the hostess and asked if she had record of my reservation because we didn’t get any service. Her response was “I’m sorry, where were you sitting?” This was especially frustrating because the place was not busy, and she had just seated us. I asked her if she sat us in a section with a server who was not on yet and she didn’t have any response. I understand if people are busy or if a mistake was made, but to have 25 minutes without any kind of acknowledgement is unacceptable. As a CU Buff alum trying to show my family a fun stampede evening, this was a huge disappointment. I’ve had a lot of fun at BB and had some great experiences, but if this is what to expect I won’t return.
We took our business to the Post next door, where we had great service, great food, and turned our bad start to a...
