Del Taco — Restaurant in Bountiful

Be careful with the drive thru here! We stopped for a quick dinner during a long trip. They somehow forgot to give us 2 (out of 5) people's meal. It was almost half of what we paid for, and it never made it to our bag.

Unfortunately, we did not discover this until 10-15 minutes down the road. By the time we finally got them to understand what the issue was, it had been 20+ minutes. They kept telling us to just come back and get it. But that would have been another 40+ minutes out of our way. Besides being on a time crunch and needing to get to our destination, we also didn't want to spend that much gas to go back for it.

They kept telling us that the only other option was for us to let them know "next time" we were there, and kept taking the name so they could take note. But we are almost never in the area. It will probably be another year or more before we are in that direction at all. So obviously this wasn't a solution for us.

We talked to whoever answered the phone as well as the manager. We had to keep explaining and they kept refusing to give any other options.

In the end they kept our money, and we had no dinner. We had to split 3 meals 5 ways, which did not make for happy kids. I will definitely not go here again, and I'll be a lot more paranoid about checking everything before leaving the drive thru line...

Worst service I have ever received! Employee was rude when I asked why they were only accepting cash and very confrontational. He then ignored me while I was in the drive through witj multiple cars behind me. I kept on asking if he would take my order and still not a word from him. I asked for his manager and again was ignored. I knocked on the window thinking he turned off the intercom and was then told that he was calling the police on me. I pulled up to the window and he wouldnt even come up to it, instead, he walked around with his headset off smiling like it was funny. The manager was there so I said excuse me multiple times and she looked at me and just walked away refused to even speak with me. The police arrived and talked with them. The officer said the employee admitted to being rude and sassy and that he was in the wrong. He also stated I was never violent nor did I threaten him in any way. So please tell me why you called the police and refused to serve me. The remaining vehicles also gave the same story as me to the officers and said they would also not be eating here because of the way I was treated. Kind of Expect that from the employee but certainly not from the "Manager" and I use that term loosely. Will...

Interestingly I tend to enjoy their Cheeseburger 🍔 offering. Additionally, finish with a desert, order the terrific fried Cheesecake item, although fairly expensive. Alternatively, I especially find the Chicken and Cheese, Mini-taco 🌮 a splendid and extremely tasty item. I provided the three stars ✨ Due ALL and singularly, as a result from extremely Unprofessional and Snotty Service, if you will. Whilst a simple inquiry, concerning the availability of their having a choice of purchasing a Cheeseburger. I recieved an arrogant response, despite the 🇲🇽 Mexican Moniker displayed for their Eatery. Upon making my order, the Employee was fantastically rude, unprofessional and without question, impatient. A real piece of work. I suspect the Restaurant is a Family Endeavor, as the Numnuts in question were not reprimanded. There are Five Star Del Tacos with fantastic food and superb service. As for these folks, then need to settle down and demonstrate their appreciation for the Customer. Not only is it a great Business Practice, it would serve too enhance their bottom line. Give it a...
