I recently dined at this establishment with initially moderate expectations, which, unfortunately, spiraled downwards as the meal progressed. At the outset, the service seemed acceptable, but it rapidly declined, leaving much to be desired. Throughout my entire meal, I was never offered a refill for my drink, a basic courtesy that was overlooked. The main issue, however, lay with the shrimp tempura. It was glaringly evident that the kitchen had not properly prepped the shrimp; four out of five pieces were served with the unpleasant surprise of still containing the black vein which is the shrimps poop, a clear oversight in basic culinary standards. Upon noticing this, I promptly informed the server, expecting some form of rectification or at least an apology. The server assured me that she would convey this to the manager. However, this interaction seemingly had no impact, as there was no follow-up from the management, and more disappointingly, I was still charged for the dish in question. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally. It's disheartening to see such negligence in both food preparation and customer service. Given these circumstances, I've decided that I will not be returning. It's a fundamental expectation for dining establishments to maintain a high standard of food quality and customer care, both of which were lacking in...
Read moreIf you do pickup please check your food before you leave. The first time I ordered pickup, I ordered hibachi beef and it was teriyaki. Today I went in and ordered hibachi beef with no carrots and extra potatoes. I received teriyaki beef and a total of 4 potato cubes. Everything was swimming in teriyaki sauce. It was terrible. They did the same thing to my daughter's food. I ordered 2 orders of egg rolls and a side if noodles. We received 1 order of egg rolls and no noodles. I called and told the girl that took our order the problem and she said they would remake the order. I told her I would bring everything back and she apologized. The older lady i guess is the owner called me back and said everything was right, just as I ordered. She kept calling me honey which i told her do not call me honey I am older than her. She was very rude and more or less called me a liar. She said the noodles are in the bag in a separate container. I told her I would not be throwing a fit over a container of noodles if they were in the bag. She said well , they are there. I told her I would bring everything back and get a refund. But was told they don't do refunds. Wonder why "they would never make money ". I will never eat there again , I don't like being called a liar. That is the rudest restaurant I've ever been to. As long as you like the food...
Read moreGoogle says I ate Ichiban one week ago bu I also visited yesterday. I am a creature of habit so I always get Sriracha chicken known on the menu as spicy chicken, I'm guessing because people don't know how to pronounce multi-syllable words. The carrots are my favorite and since my husband hates them, after I take my unnecessary food photo, he always pushes his off onto my plate bc he's sweet and we're gross like that. It's never crowded. I feel like we may go at random times, for example, we went last night (a Thursday) around 7 ish and there was hardly anyone in there. Wait, weekend nights are different story, I forgot about that. It's real freaking busy, like we had to wait for a table and everything. But that's anywhere in Bowling Green on a Friday or Saturday night. The food is consistent. And as long as you're not crazy enough to go on a weekend during standard date night hours otherwise it's going to be nice and quiet. Staff is pretty reserved but still friendly enough. Price point is considerably low, especially compared to others. Yeah, that's about it. The bathrooms aren't my favorite but thankfully it stays pretty dim in there. Oh, and they have...
