A small space so I could see it being crowded if it were peak dining time. Parking is a bit limited as well. Food is excellent. The burrito was perfectly crispy on the outside in a way I haven't had elsewhere. One of the few places I found that have both churros AND horchata (most mexican places only have one and the more americanized ones wont have either). If you're dining in, you can seat yourself. My usual Mexican spot in BG is el zarape for the margaritas and outdoor seating but I prefer the more authentic options/taste here (example: menudo, birria, 'real' tacos). There's also an arcade machine inside, but I can't remember the game. Streetfighter maybe?
Since this place is pretty small and might have had a step up to get inside, wheelchair access would probably be pretty difficult but I'm not very familiar with navigating in a wheelchair or any other mobility aid.
Definitely give this little spot a shot if you're a regular at one of the older mexican...
Read moreWhen we got there, it took 45 minutes to get water that came in a bottle. Then we had to go to the counter to finally ask for them because it was taking so long. We received chips that were stale, bendy and gummy. We got our food, and the rice was not even cooked. The price on the menu was different from what was charged. We never got to actually see our bills and the breakdown of what we were actually paying for. The waitress that we had was staring at us while we were paying to make sure she got a tip. The other people that were in the dining room looked at us to make sure everyone was having a poor time at the restaurant. We got a meal that was on the deal menu, and it was for sure not a deal based on what I payed for my meal. Overall, my experience was not well here and someone in the dining room made the perfect comment on the night, "this is not something I would want to spend my hard...
Read moreAUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE! Man these places are getting harder to find these days in NW Ohio. First time eating there tonight. I give it a 5/5, highly recommend. If you are tired of El Zarape's bland change in recipe, skip it and come over to Lupita's. So much flavor. Hearty portion sizes, steak tacos only 50 cents more than beef tacos. What a deal. Very clean inside, small, but quaint and cozy. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in our town. I could probably eat there every day of the week. They have sit down dining, carryout, curbside and there is a walk up window on the outside if you want to eat on the run. Staff was super duper friendly. All types of Jarritos. FINALLY Bowling Green has an authentic Mexican restaurant again!! (Excuse the one picture I took of my plate, I took a bite or three before...
