11-7-24. Have always loved coming up here to library,,but today was very disappointing... No supervision in or around high school area , which is right next to little kids area. Thank God there wasn't any kids in there to be subjected to something like this. Very loud , rude,no regards for anyone else. Girls in there shaving legs!!!! That's right, shaving legs with electric shaver. Now what in the world is going on. Bare feet up on table. It's a shame!!!. What about being unsanitary for the next person to use area!! Yes I know I m not a school student, but it is a public library,!! Last I heard .No where else to sit. Big room full of concert chairs again., I sure am not sitting in those kind of chairs during my visit . And when they are not out, regular chairs constantly put right up against each other. Some people don't want to be elbows to elbows. And I have seen people come in and walk out. It's getting worse every week . Something needs to be done. Used to be a library was a quiet place for everyone. Now it's so loud in there I cant hear with ear buds in. Not coming back. ...
Read moreI love this library. It's small and it looks older from the outside but it's a very nice building that will take you by surprise when you walk in. Everything is updated, and the books are in great condition. My kids love the play area. They have a computer station that's safe for toddlers to use, an arts and crafts area and leapfrog tablets.
They're great at getting local children involved i with reading. Around the holidays they do fun activities, story times and crafts, and the book selections are themed. They also have blind bags the kids can check out. They provide reading list to help you find resources for things like potty training and new siblings.
Overall I'm glad we have our library and it's wonderful friendly staff. They've accommodated NIOT and I when we needed space, I've met new friends here, and it's my kids happy place. It's not what you'd expect for a smaller town but Maumee and Perrysburg libraries...
Read moreA good place to bring young children and teens. There are sections for a little kid and many toys for them to play with. There is also a room just for teens. There are book categories for everyone. Even audio books and movies for people who do not like to read. The library is a place for imagination and fun. Authors will come to visit here and do games. There are sometimes activities to do for all ages. There reading program is wonderful. Over the summer they want you to still learn, so they have a kid friendly competition to see how many books you can read. The library also helps support schools with events. I love going here with my...
