I have about 20 years experience with this DQ, and I have very fond childhood memories when Myles handled the storefront. It was gritty and messy, but it was often so because of the sheer level of foot traffic that kept this place so lively because of the consumer loyalty that would often be generously rewarded every time you'd choose to come here.
Now it's charm and generosity in portions and options has been replaced with a sterile facsimile of the modern corporate prefab layout, and a very "whelming" portion control to optimize product costs. Every element here feels highly transactional and almost exploitative of the trust that consumers used to have in this establishment's unique brand.
You might be able to continue to court the steady stream of new students that will never know the kind of place this used to be, but the local townsfolk will look at the neon sign and pass by with a disappointed sigh. The loss of a town icon.
The only feedback I have is to reject the corporate line and try to reclaim the trust Myles' operation attained by emulating Myles' brand, not...
Read moreIn the 43 years that I've gone here the absolute worse service of ANYPLACE I've ever been! I arrived today, 5/27, at about 4:45 pm. Place my order for a 3 pc chicken lunch meal. TO GO The very first thing they made? The freaking strawberry sunday...to go...with no lid.Does anyone else see the stupidity of that? I also have osteostatic tremors. I was using my quad cane to help me stay stabilized. After they brought up my box of food. I was finally served after the 3 young men who were behind me got their meals. No bag. Nothing. So there I was trying to carry out my box of food, drink and a freaking melted sundae all while using my cane and having tremors. One would think, anyone with half a brain would have put it all in bag. Why in tbe world did Myles have to sell to someone who doesn't give a damn about Customer service? Obviously someone is just in it to make a buck and doesn't give a hoot about training their employees. I live half a block, if that, from DQ but will drive across town to get our ice cream from now on. WORST...
Read moreOrdered 3 chili dogs with added cheese. Payed extra for the cheese - 10 individual shreds of cheese! Almost looked like they counted them out. Cheese is an added item not a condiment that you cant taste. Also asked for onion one of them (left out!). Order took too long and then could not find anyone to help. My Blizzard was melting by the time the food came ( had to eat it before my meal). We were one of only two tables occupied - young man that brought food out was nowhere to be found. Line to long to wait again. Also, while using pop dispenser had to listen to girl behind counter having conversation with apparent coworker across from counter speaking loudly about how they aren't paid enough and have to fake smiles at their customers. I get that its a tall order for a new owner to keep up to the previous owner. We all know they were very generous - Lets try just a little harder to...
