Review: Papa John's
The visit was a mixed bag, but overall, the pizza and the experience held up!
🔎 The Situation: A dear friend from afar surprised me with a pizza as a thoughtful gesture during a tough time. However, I couldn’t make it to the store within the allotted pickup window. I completely understand that this policy ensures only fresh, delicious food for customers, though I do hope the unused pie was donated or eaten instead of wasted.
💡 The In-Store Experience: When I arrived, the proprietor—who I believe owns the shop—was curt and seemed unaware of my order. Thankfully, the manager I had spoken to earlier stepped in to clarify and saved the day. She quickly informed me my fresh pizza was about to go in the oven. Big points to the manager for professionalism and attention to detail!
🍕 The Product: Papa John's remains a standout in the pizza world. The dough, with its perfect balance of fluffiness and chew, and the subtly sweet tomato sauce never fail to hit the spot. And let’s be real—any competitor that doesn’t include garlic butter and a pepperoncini in the box is just playing catch-up.
🏡 Delivery Thoughts: Though Papa John’s doesn’t deliver to my area, which is far from rural, this lack of service keeps it a special treat. Still, corporate, you’re leaving money on the table—there’s a white-collar hub in Jackson waiting for those delivery zones to expand!
👍 Verdict: The food and the female manager’s professionalism won me over. No notes other than this: keep being consistent and delicious. I’ll gladly patronize again, even if I have to pick up in...
Read morePapa John’s is my favorite take out pizza and there’s only one in my area and I guess I need to stop coming here, which is heart breaking. I ordered from down the road and it said 15-25 min to be ready. When I pulled in 10 min later expecting to wait 5-10 min, there were two workers outside talking and when they saw me they went inside and started working. Great so the app says they’ve been “making” it but ready the timer JUST started because I pulled up. Then about 10 min later some dark haired woman with a kid running around starts making out with a bearded guy instead of making my or anyone else’s food too...obviously all of them had masks off or pulled down. Like WHY? Why is this happening? What “manager” is running this place into the ground? Probably spending a little too much time in the back of the smoke shop next door because I can’t even with this...
Read moreThey pizza is relatively good, and wings are good, but their policies are horrible, you can't go pick up a pizza after 10 pm thus if you were 2nd shift you have to pay additional fees for delivery and I can't see paying delivering fees when I lived literally a block away, thus is why many times I chose other pizza joints. Another issue I had is they won't accept $100 bills as they said it wasn't their policy to accept $100 bills, or bills larger than a $20, they tried to tell me they didn't have change for that, but I hardly doubt that, your a business and you can't change a hundred bill, really? I doubt that, they just didn't want to break it, so I said, then cancel my order, and they didn't like that, but I left. Bc that is one of the most asinine policies I have ever heard of. You lost multiple sales over two horrible policies, this to me is not good...
