Spencer's Coffee — Restaurant in Bowling Green

Today was my last visit to Spencer’s on the bypass. There is a petite, brown-haired female employee who is consistently rude. Every interaction I’ve had with her feels like it’s a burden for her to take my order. She speaks with a smart remark or dismissive attitude every single time.

For example, today I simply asked if my daughter’s hot chocolate had been sitting for a while—which it clearly had. Instead of a polite answer, I got sarcasm and attitude. She shook her head, spoke in a condescending tone, and acted as if I was out of line for even asking. That is unacceptable customer service.

I have been a regular customer, stopping in 3–5 times a week, either dining in or using the drive-thru. Unfortunately, because of this repeated unprofessional behavior, I will not be returning. Employees like this drive loyal customers away and hurt a business’s reputation. I’ll also be sharing my experience with family and friends to caution them...

I’m blown away to see some negative reviews. Every time we have come, it’s phenomenal! Yesterday, I tried the peaches and cream muffin. It was The BEST MUFFIN EVER. We always love the Sicilian with avocado added. Lots of fresh, thick bacon. Freshly sliced avocados. The mocha frappe is great. I’ve thought of adding a shot of coffee to make it a bit stronger. But if you like consistency, you’ll find that here! They use local products such as Chaney’s Dairy Barn. ATTENTION COFFEE LOVERS; This is the best coffee place in bowling green. The drive thru is always reasonable and the staff is always so friendly and sweet. If you are a person who genuinely loves coffee and not just drinking creamer and milk cough, starbucks, cough this is the spot. I got food and a nitro cold brew and the total was only $9 and some change. The coffee taste perfect and if you add creamer they have a chart for you to choose what level, which helps people with anxiety like myself.
