Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Boynton Beach

If I could give less than a 1 star I would. What a disappointment. It was my first time since the new chicken sandwiches came out. We don't go out often, but since we were out, we decided to try this sandwich. We drove through the drive-through, and it took 3 minutes for someone to talk to us. Then we ordered one chicken sandwich plain, nothing on it. They repeated that to confirm. We order another chicken spicy sandwich and then some samplings of mac and cheese fries, coleslaw.

When you get to the window, there was no hello or thank you, just the price of $17.32. We gave her $20 and told her to keep the change and thanked her for her service. NO, thank you back to us, and the attitude was you are bothering us, please go away. My spouse noticed this from the passenger seat and was going to say something, but I stopped them saying maybe they are having a hard day. We get the food and ask again one chicken sandwich plain, and they said yes. They thrust the food at us, still no thank you, and we left.

We got home, and it gets worse. The plain chicken sandwich is not plain after confirming it was 3x. It has everything on it, and we had to throw it away. The fries were cold and tasteless, also thrown away. The Mac and Cheese cold and under cooked and the slaw was drowning in mayonnaise. Everything got tossed. What a complete nightmare. I thought, why did we just waste our time and money on something we were looking forward to trying: what a rip-off and the worst service. More than once this location has the order incomplete and missing items. Unfortunately a phone to the store doesn't resolve the matter unless you plan on going back to pick up the missing item. Cost of gas and time isn't worth it but what's more upsetting is last year when I called and they offered a credit on my next visit and the owner didn't want to honor it. Instead he said this is why he doesn't like doing business with my kind, I'll assume because I told him I only order because they are halal that he meant Muslims. A year later I gave them the benefit of doubt and 3- 16 PC family meal ALL missing the biscuits and shorted on the chicken. A week later another missing item and when I mentioned the missing items the week before the lady just brushed it off by checking my order to make sure I had the biscuits this time, only to find that the coleslaw was missing instead. As a Google Local Guide and professional reviewer I take food quality and customer service seriously and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

I ordered 5 tenders through Uber Eats (Order #535A0) and what I received was completely unacceptable. The tenders looked like they had been sitting around for a long time and were clearly reheated from old stock possibly from the previous day. There was barely any actual chicken inside just thick greasy coating. The little meat there was tasted rubbery and dry and I had to spit it out.

I even recorded a video explaining how bad the food looked and felt describing exactly why it was inedible. Despite this Popeyes never responded to my complaint and there was no option to request a refund through Uber Eats.

This review will stay up on their Google page permanently. If this is the kind of food and service Popeyes is okay serving to customers I won’t be ordering again and I strongly suggest others...
