I saw a bunch of friends originally from Brooklyn posting on social media that their favorite New Jersey restaurant, Ruoccoâs was coming down to Boynton. Then I saw that it recently opened so we decided to go and check it out. Three out of four of us are from Brooklyn and we found out the owner, Steve Ruocco is from Brooklyn as well. Super nice guy, very friendly. He spent time getting to know us. Service with D was fantastic. All of their staff was great and stayed on top of the service. We tried the meatballs and baked clam appetizers. Both were really fabulous. Sauce was a little sweet (how I like it). Steve Ruocco recommended the pork chop so my husband tried it. He said it was one of the best he ever had. We also tried chicken Parm, chicken franchese and chicken Scarpariello. Everything was really delish!! Nice sized portions - enough for the women to take home leftovers. We told Steve that we were too full for dessert but about five minutes later he brought over a plate of mini cannolis.    Read moreRuocco's was good, but not great. I really feel bad writing the first review that isn't 5 stars, but I honestly don't feel they are on the level of a "5 star" restaraunt yet.
We had reservations for 8, but we had to wait 15 minutes because there were several people ahead of us. While we waited outside, there was a group that walked past us (wife and kids) that were smoking cigarettes and a faint smell of weed. That part isn't the restaraunts fault, but they really should rope the outdoor eating area off as that's where we were waiting and I can't imagine eating outside with people smoking is a pleasant experience.
When we were seated we were attended to quickly, but our appetizer did not come. To their credit the manager did bring it later and comped it for us.
The food was decent. The scallops were very good but for the price I would have expected a bigger portion (at least twice the size, it was 45 dollars.)
I had joined their VIP program ahead of time but when it came time to pay the bill, no one seemed to know how it worked.
Overall, It wasn't a bad experience, just not a great one. I hold out hope that as they grow they will iron out...

I had a fantastic experience at Ruocco's Italian Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of. The service was truly exceptionalâfriendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing.
Our server Josh C. was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and made sure everything arrived promptly and exactly how we wanted it. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here.
On top of the excellent service, the food was absolutely deliciousâfresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. You can really taste the quality in every dish.
