Well it did smell good when we walked in. That's retty much where the excitement ended. There was one couple ahead of us who were buying quite a bit. However we waited at least 15 minutes for anybody at all to acknowledge us, let alone wait on us. One woman was ringing up the couple, a gentleman was looking over her shoulder and a third young lady was looking over his shoulder. Not one of the three looked up to acknowledge us while they chatted up the first couple. The young woman finally got herself some coffee and a piece of bread and went outside sat down and started eating. All the while (even after the first couple had been rung up,) we were ignored while the previous customers chatted up with the proprietors even more, taking samples of this and that. Again, no eye contact or acknowledgement that other customers were waiting . Sorry, but if you're going to charge $10 for a loaf of bread and you expect the locals to support your business, you have to step up your game. You lost two customers today because you don't know how to run a business and greet your customers. And when I say we, it was me and a friend of mine. So this is two households that you...
Read moreI ventured into Breadsmith of Bradenton, hoping to find European-quality, authentic bread, only to be disappointed. The offerings seemed to fall into the category of Americanized adaptations, lacking the genuine taste and texture I was craving.
Comparatively, establishments like Whole Foods, Panera Bread, and Publix seem to surpass Breadsmith of Bradenton in both quality and value. Unfortunately, the cost at Breadsmith of Bradenton does not align with the standard of their products, making it difficult to justify a purchase here over the mentioned alternatives.
For those in pursuit of bread that closely mirrors the authentic European experience, my recommendation would be to explore other venues. Breadsmith of Bradenton may be an option in a pinch, but better options are available at a more reasonable price point to truly satisfy your bread cravings.
Yes, it's new. Clean. You can probably get a cookie for free as a part of the ad, but I doubt about...
Read moreWas hoping for it to be as advertised...I should have known better. Typical franchise junk. "French baguette" is either a par baked or frozen dough product, for $6.25. I know costs are high, but at that price, you expect quality. Barely baked, doughy, not crispy at all. Atmosphere is sparse, but very clean, extensive amount of wasted space. I have been many bakeries. Unfortunately, this is not a bakery...They advertise "hearth baked" I do not see any hearths, ovens are way in the back, with no bread racks. Another flag. I wish them the best of luck. Very difficult business, and you have to know baking/bread making to make a good product. This does not appear to be so. It's a shame, because the area could use a good bakery, but whether or not the area could support it, is another thing. I'm...
