Mickey's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Brainerd

Decided to try the restaurant for the very first time. Upon entering I found it clean, bright and welcoming. I was greeted nicely after approaching the counter. I said I was new to the restaurant and was meeting a friend. I asked the gal about the size of the taco salad, since I didn't want a sub, was surprised that I couldn't have dine in pizza and this meal would be my food for the day. I was told it was pretty big. I sat down to wait on my friend and contemplated my meal choice. When my friend arrived we placed our orders. I decided on the taco salad. When I picked it up I was surprised by the container it was in. When I opened the container. I was shocked. It was very small. About what I would expect in a small side salad. There were all of 4 chunks of chicken, 2 half rings of onion, a slice of tomato, no green peppers, though I asked for them, no cheese, 2 leaves leafs of spinach, and the rest was shredded lettuce. I opened the sour cream and licked my finger after putting it on my food and immediately spit it out. Because It was spoiled. When I got to the shell it was old. After sitting and watching pizzas being made with loads of toppings I really felt ripped off. The salad I paid $10 for was a disgrace. I left not even feeling I was fed. I don't like that the size was misrepresented, that the fillings were extremely skimpy and the quality was very poor. The entire salad was about the size of a cereal bowl. I definitely had a lettuce salad but that's about it. For about 50 cents more I could have had a half sub, chips and a drink. And having a plus size friend who has health issues and is a senior there was no both that dhe was able to accommodate her and the counter with the high chairs was difficult for her to get up on. This was a treat out and it's not the place I plan to patronize again. Really, really...

This place is a small yet always rip roaring busy!! They have the BEST food ever. You will NEVER go back to eating subway once you have experienced their amAzing subs! The bread is ALWAYS fresh and the meats and veggies are equally as fresh! Their pizzas are to die for. They are take and bake, but oh man, they are mouth watering delicious! The customer service every single time I go in there, and it's A LOT that I am there is so amazing! They greet you the second you walk in the door and I don't think I've ever waited more than about 5 minutes for my order if I order at the counter. With how busy they get, it's unheard of to get food out that quick and efficiently. They have begun to recognize me when I walk in and always call me by my name now. They are the FRIENDLIEST group of people! Thank you so much for ALWAYS making my experience a great one!

Mickey's is a restaurant I have been getting 🍕 pizza 🍕 from for more than 20 years! When I was asked what I wanted to eat when I would come home to visit from college, I would request Mickey's!!! Now that I live in the area again it's frequented by me often. Why do I choose them over literally any other kind of pizza out there?! ~the crust is the perfect kind of crisp ~the toppings aren't just barely sprinkled on, oh no, they are loaded on; you feel like you always get your money's worth & that each bite is just as good as the next ~always fast & friendly service ~locally owned by people who constantly give back to the community ~very affordable pricing for such fresh ingredients (although I've always wished they had fresh mushrooms instead of canned)

Whether you're a resident of the Brainerd lakes area or someone visiting for a short while, if you aren't eating Mickey's, you're definitely missing...
