I love their garlic shrimp with scallops menu item. I always get it for take-out. I have eaten at least 20 of them. There is a problem with their packaging. They put the food into a white plastic container that ALWAYS leaks. The container is not water-proof. They put the white container into a brown bag and put that into a plastic bag. The sauce leaks from the white container through the brown bag and into the plastic bag. When I open the white container, I get sauce from the bottom of the container all over my kitchen counter and have a mess to clean up. I have seen other take-out containers and NONE of them ever leak. This business needs to get a liquid-proof or water-proof container to put the food in so the sauce does not leak out. Wake up please!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered a take-out today July 31, 2024 and was surprised to see they have a new container that, when held upright, does not leak. One good step in the right direction. I wish they would go one more step and use a truly watertight container. Many restaurants use waterproof containers so an even better type of container does exist.
Got an order of Garlic Shrimp last week (9/30) and they are using the old leaky white container again. Sure wish they would use a waterproof container. Their current container looses the sauce and makes the food dry! Don't know why the owner can't understand he/she has a...
Read moreEat 'N East is a step above all the other local Asian food places in and surrounding Branchburg. Why? I think it’s because all the food is so fresh, that you can tell when you eat it. I like all ‘Chinese/Asian food’, however it all generally tastes the same to me, in a good way. However this place seems to be step above all the others, and I have never said that about Chinese/Asian food (and I am not young and have been eating Chinese/Asian food for decades now). The restaurant is clean and spacious. Again, the food is fresh and tasty. The prices are fair too. The one con is that it appears to be run by maybe a husband and wife team . . . he does the back end, and she does the front end . . . so the service may be slow for some folks, but not a deal-breaker. Try Eat 'N East for...
Read moreWe ordered from here for the first and last time tonight. To start the food was 30 minutes late, when I called the women who answered just kept saying that it's on its way. She gave no explanation why it was so late. We ordered three meals, a appetizer, and a soup. The sambal beef was missing the sambal sauce, the chicken and broccoli was dry and flavorless, and the general tso's was overcooked and in a foul sauce. The soup had more oil in it that the Exxon Valdez spill. The only portion of our order that was okay was the crab ragoon.
Short and sweet, don't waste your time and money ordering from here. There are several better places near by.... honestly frozen tv dinners would be an upgrade to what...
