Hibachi Express(1914 FL-60 E, Valrico) — Restaurant in Brandon

This place is a joke. I came here once to try it since everyone at my work seem to enjoy it. My first encounter with the lady upfront wasn't pleasant. She's rude and makes you feel she's doing you a favor by being here. Food is mediocre at best. I told myself, maybe the cooks ar this rude lady had an off day. Today I decided to try them once more ..but low and behold this lady is still rude and very short. Her attitude sucks big time. I started by ordering just fried rice and she already assumed I was ordering just regular fried rice and gave me a price and I said, no cuz I don't know yet. Then I saw tonkatsu chicken and decided on that and she immediately assumed I'm getting the fried rice too. I said no and if I the food came with yum yum sauce and rudely she responded that it came with it. I asked if I can get extra and right away twenty five cents. She delivered my plate in the table with attitude ...never again will I go back to this place. Their food is not even great, sushi rolls are overpriced and smaller compared to other sushi place....

I have ordered from hibachi express on several occasions each time the owner is very rude. When you come into the establishment, she doesn’t treat you as if you are a customer she treats you as if you are somebody asking for free food I order meals for myself and my wife and ask for appropriate condiments that comes with the order I’m giving one Yum Yum sauce for two orders and I have to argue with the owner to get a second. Yum Yum sauce to go with the second order after I’ve paid my money while I do enjoy hibachi Xpress his food I do not like the customer service. The owner is very rude and it appears that she may have a problem with Latinos. I truly hope that they change the person who works at the front desk so that I don’t have to be inconvenienced by spending money with someone who doesn’t appreciate my business have anyone else...

The inside of the building is nice, nothing is fancy or stands out. The server who takes your order at the counter was rude and rushed us to make a choice acting annoyed. Other reviews mentioned this as well. The food comes out decently quick when it’s not busy, but the sushi is hastily put together, some sides barely having any rice at all. The server doesn’t bring out the chopsticks or silverware, or tell you where to get them, or say anything to you at all really. You just have to assume where the box is. For the price you only get a couple of pieces anyway. Barely any meat or fish in them, they’re 80% filled with cucumber.
