China Star — Restaurant in Florida

First impression on the phone was like any other Chinese food restaurant, never get any expression but get order and that's it. Sent my teen daughter as I waited for her in front of place to pay and bring food. She said they have the kids trying to translate or taking calls and giving food. The place didnt look to her liking. We usually get calendars when spending more than $30, this one had nothing to offer looked at my daughter side ways when asked for one. When pulling out the food noticed portions were small. Sweet & sour chicken did not taste right, soggy, like it had been sitting and not cooked well. The krabrangoo didnt taste good at all, it was sour, burnt, hard and was not filled. The shrimp fried rice did not have taste. The house lomein was okay along with the white rice. I was in a hurry so didnt even think to read reviews if I did I wouldn't have ordered and I regret that I did. This experience was no bueno for us. Will not be returning or recommending anyone...

I ordered food from this restaurant on New Year’s Eve for me and finance. I was looking forward to it all day, when I went to go pick up the food, I was checking to make sure all the food was there. When I picked up the container of shrimp low mein, it spilled all inside the bag, I went back to the restaurant and told them what happened. The female that was working their took the bag from me and took it to the bag, grabbed some tongs and started to grab the food from the bag and put it in a new container. I told her that I want a fresh order. They made me a new order, so I said thank you and went home. When I got home we ate the food, the egg rolls had shrimp in them when I asked for no shrimp, the crab Rangoon’s were cold and soggy and the fortune cookies were old and stale. I never order from here, but made the $80 mistake last night and did!! The crab Rangoon was missing the cream cheese filling! Unfortunately I ordered 2 orders… Their wonton soup was brown water with reheated day old wontons. I ordered fried rice instead of plain white rice. They put some brown coloring on the rice instead of making it properly and up charged me for it! I called to complain and I spoke to a young kid that was in no shape to handle management. This woman gets on the phone and tells me to come to the store and they make something else for me… well, it was raining which is why I used DoorDash! I then got hung up on twice!!
