Worst McDonald’s experience I’ve ever had. There were 2 families in the restaurant when we walked in. One was a family of 4, the other was a family of 3 and there were 6 of us. It was not a busy time of day. We ordered our food and sat down in the empty dining area to wait. It was just us sitting there waiting, another family sitting there waiting , the couple with the child was standing by the door. After the family of 5 started complaining they had been there almost an hour, we checked our watches & we had been there about 40 minutes waiting for our food so I went up to the counter & said excuse me ma’am, she was mad & marched over to me & said “if you keep calling me over here I am never gonna get anybody’s food done. What do you want?” I said excuse me? I have never spoken to you. I have never called you over and this is a fast food restaurant. We have been waiting almost an hour. I just wondered if we were going to get our food soon or if we needed to cancel it and she said you’ll get it in a minute and turned around and went back to putting orders together. It took us an hour and 10 minutes to get our food at a fast food place. The reason we went to McDonald’s was because we had three kids under 5 and they were hungry and we didn’t want to wait at a restaurant for over an hour so I thought we would do fast food. We spent almost $50 And could’ve spent that at a sitdown restaurant in town. We were treated like we were a nuisance, not like we were valued customers. We were not rude or unkind at all. The attitude of the people working there was frenzied and completely lost. They need to be retrained on preparing the food in a timely manner and treating customers respectfully. I had to control my own emotions because of the way she spoke to me & snapped at me so hatefully, I just about lost my temper with her and I never do that. I don’t know if she’s the manager, she’s the only person that any of us saw . She was the rudest person I have dealt with in years. I work customer service and let me tell you if one of the people at my store would’ve treated a customer like that they would’ve gone home for the day. Everyone in the store was complaining about the service and the slowness. One gentleman came in right after us- ordered a cheeseburger and a soda. We were almost done eating before he got his food, so it was over 30 minutes, there was no one else waiting for food when he walked up. A lady came in from the Drive-through and was pretty upset because she said they have been waiting for 40 minutes outside the drive-through for their food so she came in because she thought they were forgotten. The lady behind the counter got short with her also. Some kid looked nervous and put a chocolate milk and two happy meals up on the counter and walked away and one of the ladies that came in after us was standing there looking at us and said I don’t know if that’s mine. Do I take it ? Everybody was shrugging their shoulders none of us knew what to do -so she just took a bunch of food and left because she wasn’t sure if it was her food or it wasn’t her food. Nobody said anything. Nobody called the number. Nobody said a name. Nobody said hi .. welcome in..nobody said thank you! No employee was talking to anybody. Not one person ever came behind the counter for anything the entire time we were there -they were all hiding back in the back, not wanting to show their faces. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant. We will never ever go back to that restaurant and I see the ratings are like a 3.2 I would give a -10 for service if I could. The food wasn’t even hot when we got it. I don’t know what is going on back behind the wall, but they had no idea what they were doing. I think they need to be retrained and if that was the manager, she definitely needs to be retrained on customer service. If she’s not a manager, then her manager needs to speak to her. Read moreI apologise that this is such a long review, but it's just very difficult to describe or make sensible. Only reviewing the drive-through, ordering for four people (as usual, for us): Here the staff always gets part of the order wrong (we don't ask for anything crazy, just something like "no pickles"). It takes more than 10 minutes to receive our complete order. In my experience, first there is the payment window, and often requires some clarification about the order. It's confusing to the cashier because, "you want both a coffee with cream AND a diet Coke?! Are you sure?" We get through this phase, and the employee at the pickup window is even more confused. We must wait five minutes for them to complete our order. Then we receive half the order. The have lots of questions, and they are very confused. Typically, we have to clear out the order and start over, explaining each item and why we're asking to customize, such as no pickles on a burger, two creams in a coffee, extra hash browns with a breakfast combo ("But, you know that it comes with hash browns, right?" "Yes, and we would like an additional hash browns?" "Why? You're already getting hash browns?") After this comedy routine, we have to drive to a parking spot and wait. After about 10 minutes, a cheerful employee approaches the the car, and delivers half the order, wishing us a nice day, "come back and see us again, ok?" But we must go through the entire order again because what they deliver is only one part. 30 minutes in on our drive through order, the staff is thanking us for our patience and offering free food, that happens to be what we ordered but "nobody picked up." And we drive home with a bunch of cold food and extra sandwiches, frustrated and confused. Hardee's looks really good, and Taco Bell, and Sonic, and several locally-owned spots. And we try to determine what always draws us to McDonald's, and can never figure out the answer. The are even very stingy with napkins, straws, and condiments. 4 complete meals? One napkin, no straws. "Can we get a bunch of extra napkins?" They give us ONE more. "We'd like a bunch of sauces for the chicken tenders, and a variety of flavors."
