The butcher guy who cuts the meat is very unprofessional had an attitude I guess because he was ready to go,but customer service is what keeps customers coming back more and more especially when great food is being served. However from the moment I walked in the black heavy set butcher had an attitude with the old senior citizen customers in front of me and very much so with me for no particular reason. He took out the brisket from the hot box to make a sandwich for the old customers in front of me in which one was hearing impaired just slammed the meat down as I was next in line had an attitude with his own co-worked the young lady asked him something he said what in an angry tone and was mumbling and cursing under his breath throughout the whole time I was waiting for my order.About the food he used a paper cup to dip in the beans to put on my plate which is very unacceptable.I asked where the guy who’s normally the butcher he sassily said he’s off today. He cut up my meat and left out portions that should’ve been placed on my plate and gave me one rib that he tore up cutting it,but left one other piece that he should have gave me instead of the one he tore up.Normally when the regular butcher is there he cuts my sandwich in two pieces as I assume with other customers without asking. Also I ordered a banana pudding which was left open to the air with no lid and was very warm as that type of delicacy should always be kept cold. However I drive 30 minutes to Kenzo’s as I and my wife’s loves the brisket grilled cheese sandwiches and was met with hostility and anger.I will not be back after this sudden treatment food and customer service is F rating. The owner and or manager needs to remove this employee before he runs this business down with an attitude towards Kenjo’s customers,I can just imagine how he is towards other customers. In a time like this where we all have been through a major storm as some of us are still without power you would think some compassion and or dedication to his work would...
Read moreLast night when my family and I were on our way to Tyler TX to visit my Grandparents and family, we had a tire blow out on 288. TWO good Samaritans pulled over and risked their lives to come to our rescue! We called the Wal-Mart tire center who agreed to stay open past their normal hours just to help us on our journey and replace our tire. After the service was finished we were told that our two front tires were worse than the one that blew out. We were devastated that we would not make it to our family's Thanksgiving gathering this year. This morning, Thanksgiving Day, we remembered about a fb post we saw weeks ago about a restaurant who was offering free Thanksgiving plates to those who had no where to go on Thanksgiving. We decided it was worth checking out and we showed up here at Kenjos, scared and unsure if it was a prank, and we left with tears in our eyes and an entire THANKSGIVING FEAST, FULL HAM INCLUDED!! WE CAN NOT THANK GOD AND THESE AMAZING PEOPLE ENOUGH FOR BLESSING OUR FAMILY BEYOND MEASURE!!!😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰💚💚🙏🙏🙏🙏 KENJOS, YOU WILL FOREVER BE KNOWN AS "GODS KITCHEN" TO MY FAMILY!!
Side note: The food was absolutely phenomenal!!!
MAY GOD BLESS...
Read moreLooking at the pictures on google, it seems like maybe I just caught the workers there at a bad time or something, because my two meat plate was absolutely tiny. I would of gotten more food for the price going to a nicer sit down joint.
I got chicken and brisket. It came with 2 very small slices of brisket, and the smallest chicken thigh and leg I've ever seen. My plate had no bread on it, 2 pickles and 2 onion slices, and a pretty small portion of mac and cheese, that was not really that flavorful. It had some spices in it, but it was all heat no flavor.
The meat was not half bad, but the BBQ sauce is the exact same generic BBQ sauce all of these types of places seem to use.
I'd give it a 3 just on food, but the staff behind the counter were pretty pushy with my order, which I'd never been there before so I was looking at what was available, so I just rushed through after they clearly had about two seconds of patience left. That mixed with the lights being super dim, my napkins being a massive bathroom roll of hand towels just sitting on a rickety school lunch table, this place feels super unwelcoming, and is...
