I'm not sure where to start on how unprofessional, uncoordinated, and lack of great service overall! My family and I went to dine at Brea Location. It was stated that we were going to be seated within the hour of when we made reservation 2 hours past where now it's almost closing time. When presenting the concerns as to why it was taking so long, the hostess seemed to not care. Finally, while trying to order, the waitress took so long to order our food or any refills. The service was just not the best because you could tell they wanted to just get everyone out due to them already being closed. The food was sloppy, and was not the best. Foolishly despite that experience my family and I decided to give this location another shot. There was no available call reservations because seating was limited. Totally understood that, and respect it. However, trying to give my prior experience the benefit of the doubt, this time was way way wayyyy worse! The hostess were horrible and unprofessional. Whoever hired Kaylee and Kelsi made some poor decisions to represent the Brea Cheesecake Factory and should very much reconsider their position. I've worked in the restaurant industry to know what professionalism is and what it is to be empathetic while still being productive and efficient. I understood that the wait extended due to adding just TWO additional parties to the 4. But, again, if the wait time is an extra 40 minutes longer than MEAN that. Don't lie to the people who have already been waiting for TWO hours, and when that time passes we're still not seated. Again, it was exactly 8:26pm when my entire family just decided to leave. But before making that decision, a very considerate and kind gentleman (Saul) rushed to clean the tables for my family and I to sit. He then told us to go to the front desk so the host could walk us to our table. When going to the desk, Kaylee and Kalsi snapped and stated "OH MY GOD I CANT BELIEVE HE DID THAT! HES BEEN DOING THAT A LOT!" Then quickly turned their back to gossip to the other employees about what Saul had done. Excuse me! First things first, I'm still right in front of you, don't turn your back and neglect that I was still standing there to be seated. Secondly, don't start gossiping in front of a guest, who was planning to eat at your location. Be professional and take the conversation somewhere else after you resolved the issue between the guest and the host. It was so disrespectful the way they both turned their backs and started gossiping. I know two grown women need to learn more common decency and courtesy when working as a hostess, the job is not difficult at all. I'd suggest them in a position with no customer service interaction takes place because it is solely due to them why I would never want to go back to Brea Cheesecake and would strongly suggest against this location to any other person I know. It bothers me more because my mom had went inside to find out how much longer the wait would be (when it was 2 hours over the 40 extra minutes that was stated) and telling them that my father is a Diabetic and we had an toddler. If it was going to be three hour wait at least state that and allow us the chance to plan accordingly given the type of guests we had. All I'm saying or recommending, knowing that location could be busy, to set a limit to how long a party could be sitting before it goes on for too long. Other places are enforcing a seating limit due to Covid. Hats off to Saul, I saw a hard working man trying to make the right decisions, and caring about the guests and business. The hostesses, completed terrible but all im saying is they should not be the ones representing the face of Brea Cheesecake Factory, especially the first people to to interact with because their type of attitude puts guests off before even having an opportunity to be seated. I'm not sure if my family and I would ever go back again. We tried to give them a second chance, but that was where we drew the line. Sorry. Worst ongoing experience but this was the...
Read moreLet me first say that CCF has always been a favorite of mine, but one very bad experience can change that instantly. I chose CCF Brea for my birthday meal and had a horrible experience with burnt food and stale bread. The reason I'm writing this review is because I first wrote to the location explaining what happened during my visit, and was giving them the opportunity to make things right. They did not respond to me at all, not an apology - nothing...
"Cheesecake Factory has always been a favorite of mine. When my husband asked where I wanted to go for my birthday meal, I chose the Brea location. The experience started off on a bad note as the bread served was hard as a rock and obviously not fresh. Restaurant wasn’t busy and the server wasn’t around as much as she should’ve been, so we were left gnawing on hard bread. Hubby had a burger which was just ok, I had the chicken parmesan sandwich, which used to be a favorite of mine. I asked for the chicken to be extra well done and crispy. When I got the sandwich, the cook burned all of my bread! I said chicken well done not the bread! I'm shocked a cook would send out food that looked like that, and surprised the server would actually serve it. Plus the chicken inside was tiny – there was more bread than chicken. I’ve seen the price gradually increase over the years for this sandwich, however, for a tiny piece of chicken and burnt bread, $20 is NOT worth the price. Waited to see the server which took too long, so I decided not to send it back because then hubby and I wouldn't be eating together, and his food would've gotten cold waiting for mine to be redone. Of course we wanted to eat our meals together. The fries on both of our meals were cold and flavorless. Not freshly made. What is the reason for that? Fries should come out hot and fresh, which I shouldn’t even have to mention. There are so many other dining options in Brea, but I chose your establishment for a delicious meal and birthday celebration and was let down. This experience was one disappointment after another. I really like CCF but after this, and after ruining my birthday meal, it would take some major convincing for me to return. This makes me sad. Here is a photo of the burnt sandwich; burnt on top and bottom of bread, and burnt around the edges. Not edible. Cold fries. This is something I’d expect from a fast food...
Read moreBy far the worst cheesesteak factory I've ever ordered from. It was my birthday. We spent about $180 worth of food and the quality was worse than subpar. It was simply horrible. We ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp and the Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken and both came ice cold. It only took the driver about 5-10 minutes to get to us. That means that they didn't even cook the food in the same hour I ordered. It had to have been made way earlier in the day that they cooked it. The Southern Fried Chicken Sliders were the worst. The bread was burnt to a crisp on the inside. The chicken patty was extremely dry and thin. Completely inedible. The $22 Barbeque Ranch Chicken Salad had several huge chunks of lettuce in it. Although the rest of the salad was pretty good, for a $22 salad you think they would go the extra step and make sure all of it is fresh and chopped properly. The Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake was good but they have made the slices way smaller and the prices just get higher and higher. We also ordered a Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake and never even received that item. The only thing I enjoyed were the Avocado Eggrolls. I appreciated the cook making the crust a little firmer without burning it. Most of the time the crust is too soggy on the avocado rolls. Needless to say that Cheesecake Factory completely ruined my birthday. I have ordered from here in the past and had a good experience, however I will never order from here again and I would not encourage anyone else to order from here. This was more than the cook maybe having a bad night. This was complete deliberate decision to prepare disgusting food. I honestly think I'm done with Cheesecake Factory as a whole. I sent this same complaint into corporate and only got an apology. Sounds like management had changed and the chain has become nothing more than extremely overpriced food. I mean check out the pic posted and see that burnt bread. Would anyone want to feed that to their loved one?? If 0 stars...
