OMOMO TEA SHOPPE — Restaurant in Brea

My 1st time having Omomo Tea Shoppe was probably 7 years ago in their Irvine location. Than there was a huge line for it and looks like the hype hasn’t died down.

Finally made my way over to one near my city of residence, Brea Sunday evening with my cousin n his wife visiting along w my nephew.

We were excited to try. What we ordered

~ Omomo Matcha is a blended drink. I asked for 50% sweetness. Really great matcha cold drink for a hot day. ~ itchy peachy is good also. ~ Jasmine Green tea

The boba is top notch chewy good. The brown sugar boba has a sweet taste to it Agar boba is good n crunch to it. We love agar boba

There’s no indoor seating nor outside. It’s decorative is simple modern vibe. Associates were nice n even though there was a line. We got our drinks in a good timely manner,

Located in the same plaza as Fogo De Chao, in n out n next to Do Coffee shop.

Parking can be a bit hard to find since it’s a pretty busy plaza. Just have to be patent. It’s always someone leaving.

The drinks are always great, Omomo is great. The service was condescending and rude. Ordered 14 drinks, asked for no ice, the white girl behind the counter’s tone wasn’t a pleasant one, “You have to do ice, pick one.” Cool, less ice. Finding an Omomo that isn’t Irvine is nice, after ordering the first 12 drinks, she tells me “I won’t don’t more than 12 drinks per transaction.” Someone had to tell her to do it and process all the drinks. To save on the story, it’s just an attitude problem. I don’t expect people to be cheery all the time, but small things like that ruin an established name like Omomo. It ruins the service many of us have come to love Omomo for. Sometimes managers have to correct the workers for thinking the workers “own” the shop, but it was off putting. Happy they finally opened up closer to me! Store is small and definitely more of a pick-up location. No outdoor seating but unsure if that might change in the future as they're still in soft opening.

My friends and I came around 4pm on a Thursday and it wasn't that crowded. We were able to order within 5 minutes and our drinks came out shortly afterwards. Everyone generally seemed to enjoy their drink. One of my friends was happy they still were offering their seasonal peach drinks. I've always been getting the Omomo Matcha and this time was no different. But for some reason, there were larger ice chunks in the drink, which I don't remember ever happening at the other locations and did not make for a good drinking experience.
