My husband and I absolutely LOVE dining Chez Jacqueline! We have been twice and both times our experiences were incredible! The first time we ate here was on a Sunday. My husband and I walked in around 3:20. They sat us and began with our drink order. After ordering our food we found out they closed at 3p but they had no issue at all serving us. We thought they closed at 7 as advertised on google. We felt terrible but they couldn’t have been more kind and willing to serve us regardless. Mme. Jacqueline came and greeted us herself. She is the kindest and sweetest woman! We just love her so much! My husband ordered the fish with crawfish étouffé that he must have talked about for at least a week afterwards. It was divine. I enjoyed the shrimp linguine which was so delicious also! We couldn’t have been more pleased! The environment including Mme. Jacqueline makes you feel like you’re eating at your grandmothers house. She’s so inviting, the restaurant is cozy, nothing fancy. A place to enjoy good Cajun cooking and wonderful company! Our second evening Chez Jacqueline was for her Valentine’s Day 8 course dinner meal! It was fantastic! The food was different and delicious! There was a gentleman playing the guitar while singing all evening. There were red heart balloons everywhere. Each woman received a box of chocolates and a beautiful rose upon arrival. The wine of your choice was served as the courses began. We couldn’t have asked for a better Valentines dinner experience! As others have said, Mme. Jacqueline prepares everything fresh. This is not a fast food restaurant. She takes her time and you can tell she truly loves to serve. Mme. Jacqueline will come to your table to greet you, check on you and make sure youre enjoying yourself. She truly takes care of her guests! We love her and her staff! I hope this review entices you to visit because if you love good southern hospitality and delicious Cajun cooking…you will LOVE dining Chez Jacqueline!

European experience! Make sure you have a couple of hours as everything is prepared fresh. CASH ONLY so you aren’t surprised. We visited the small quaint town of Beaux Bridge, Louisiana today known as the crawfish capital of the world. When we happened upon a large menu sign on the sidewalk with French dishes that sounded amazing, and saw several small cafe tables for outside seating, we thought - perfect! It turned into an unexpected European experience. We ordered iced tea from the menu and it was brought out about 20 minutes later as it was freshly made. We ordered our food at that time. Another 15 minutes or so. warm french bread and butter were brought to our table. Meanwhile, another couple sat down and went through the same experience. I decided to look the restaurant up on google and it was rated 4.5 stars - great! Then I noticed quite a few comments like this; “Everything is cooked fresh and took time to prepare. This is not fast food people.”, “You have to wait an hour and a half to be served … “. By this time the other couple was getting restless and asked when the food would be served and the waiter said it takes about 2 hours; they got up and left. By this time we had already invested an hour or so and we were enjoying ourselves so it was fine. When the meal arrived, about 1:45 minutes in, it was worth it. I had a cup of crawfish bisque and a cup of seafood gumbo. My husband is allergic to seafood so they made him a hamburger. Two hours later we were on our way.

4-23-23 We came here for the very first time. I always wanted to visit prior to COVID. First off: HAVE CASH MONEY ON YOU ($100.00 PLUS or Venmo. They DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS.) Second: Do not come here if you want fast food! You will be here easily for almost 2 hours. We came around 12:40 or so, and we were seated by the window. We were the only patrons at the time. (Others trickled in later.) Being a person from south LA, I asked who was the chef. The chef was seated enjoying her lunch at the time. She was cool to converse with. Between the Chef and Ms. Florence our waitress...this made for a Good time!!! Luzianne unsweet ☕ tea: pure, no dilute was a 5/5 The fresh French bread to start with butter was 5/5! That shyt melted in the mouth. It is a true European experience MINUS having to buy every beverage. Crab cakes: 5/5 They would be some of my favorites right along with those at Poor Boy's Riverside Inn in Broussard, LA. Lamb chops with the green beans and potato medley was good! I would love to jus thave that green bean and potato medley with nothing else. It has some great seasoning! (4/5) One point off because the lamb chops could have been seasoned more. Neat experience and Ms. Florence has a way with interacting with the customers that makes you feel some invited (as do the Chef).

This small French/Cajun restaurant is truly a gem. The intimate atmosphere, complete with warm lighting and rustic decor, immediately sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The menu showcases classic French-inspired fare, and the escargot is a must-try. Cooked to perfection, the tender snails are bathed in a rich garlic butter sauce, delivering an authentic taste that feels like a well-kept secret from Parisian kitchens. Another standout is the seafood gumbo, a surprising but delightful addition to the menu. Packed with fresh shrimp, crab, and delicate spices, it blends traditional French techniques with a subtle Creole influence, making it a dish to savor. What truly sets this restaurant apart is its owner Jackeline, who also happens to be the chef. Her passion for cooking is evident in every dish, and she takes the time to greet each table, adding a personal touch to the experience. If you're looking for an authentic and intimate fine dining experience, with standout dishes like escargot and seafood gumbo, this charming restaurant is not to be missed.

Unique is an understatement🙄 Soon as you walk in, it feels like you’re in someone’s grandma’s house. You would think that would be a great thing in the South? Not here!!! (Believe me!, you’d have to see it to understand). We were literally the only people there on a Friday at lunch time. The owner/chef talks a lot and has a tendency to wanna touch you, for some reason. She just kept putting her hand on my mom’s shoulder, every time she came to the table like she knew us or something. Then the food came (with canned sodas that she pours into plastic cups with ice)…and talk about 🤮. No seasoning whatsoever!! No salt, pepper, onions, garlic…absolutely nothing. Had the crawfish etoufee with fried crawfish tails and mom had frog legs. Looked like Chinese crawfish that was defrosted and fried and the rice was hard. The most disgusting meal you’ve ever eaten. Then to close out the meal, they only accept Venmo or CashApp🤦🏻♀️ what if I didn’t have or know how to use those apps? Save your stomach and your money and go elsewhere!!!

Im visiting from out of town. I stopped in for an alligator burger but they don't serve sandwiches on Sunday. Waitress reccomended rabbit stew. Oh my was I surprised at how incredible it was. It was fall off the bone good! I am a big fan of oxtail stew and this was as good as I've ever had but on another level. Jacqueline herself came out of the kitchen to ask how I was enjoying her dish. It's a little whole in the wall which I like. A real gem if you are in this part of town!
