Pop's kitchen — Restaurant in Breckenridge Hills

This restaurant is actually situated in a convenience store. The staff was nice enough and my food came out fast. However, I was disappointed in some parts of my food. I ordered the fried catfish (2)and chicken combo (4), which comes with fries. The catfish was delicious and fresh, and unlike other chicken joints, they gave me two pieces of white bread, plenty of pickles and onions. The fries were decent. But the chicken wings were awful. They tasted very old or like they'd been cooked in old, filthy grease. Also, they were hard. I also asked them how much ranch dressing costs and it is a $1! Unbelievable. This is a great place to grab some food. However since I’ve been back to stlouis I’ve ordered the same thing twice. Chicken dinner, I’ve asked on both occasions not to cook my chicken in salt and both times it was salty. I can’t have sodium so unfortunately i couldn’t eat it. Let’s clear up what salt is because I believe when asking for no I shouldn’t receive any. That means No garlic salt no iodize salt no salt Period not even the stuff sprinkle on top of the chicken for flavor. I've been to Pop's Kitchen maybe 4 times. And I had great experience. But today June 21, 2018, it was awful. I asked them not to put the seasoning on my food after. The guy did and tried to shake it off. I then ask if they could just give me another plate. Then the guy threw my receipt to me and told the cashier to give my money back. He then put my food back into the grease to get the seasoning off. Again I asked for a new plate. The guy was very angry with me, and began to speak in a language I didn't understand.
