I had a terrible experience at submarine port today! I hate that I have to leave this review because usually when I go to this location, all of the women and the Hispanic male that works there do an excellent job. However, I went in today and the tall Caucasian male That was working the register had a terrible attitude and walked away from me as I was about to order for absolutely no reason. It was 11 AM sharp and I walked into the restaurant. He greeted me with a good afternoon and since I had an appointment at noon I said to him, "Oh my God, is it noon already?" Then I immediately checked my phone to check the time and realized it was only 11 o'clock. Then I was about to give him my order and he walked off on me. Whatever he was upset about, he completely took it out on me. I didn't do anything wrong and I didn't deserve to be walked off on. I found it completely rude and disrespectful. I would never do that to anyone because I wouldn't want any one to treat me that way. I also work in food service as well. I worked in food service for 25 years and not once has there been a time where I have been rude and disrespectful to anyone that wasn't rude and disrespectful to me. This gentleman's behavior was completely unacceptable and I hope it doesn't reflect on the rest...
Read moreI've been a loyal customer at Submarine Port for over five years, usually ordering the same sandwich—and yes, I always ask for ranch on it. Even for large family orders, this request has never been an issue. Today, after a long day at work, I placed my usual order at 6:25 PM through the drive-thru. The woman taking orders responded sharply: "You want what on your sandwich?" I repeated myself, and she replied—again with attitude—"We won’t put ranch on the sandwich, only on the side."
I was stunned. It may not sound appetizing to everyone, but I’m the one paying for it, and never before had anyone refused. It felt unnecessarily rude, especially over something so minor.
It’s not about the ranch—it’s about how a simple request was handled. One negative experience shouldn’t outweigh years of good service, but unfortunately, today it did.
Kudos to the gentleman at the window for his kindness and thoughtful apology—thanks to him, I’ll give this location another chance. That said, if I encounter the same issue again, I won’t...
