Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Brenham

The ONLY reason we go here is my son loves Church’s. But not going back..ever again. My daughter went thru the drive thru & ordered “drumsticks” instead of “legs”..not ALL places call it the same.. (she wasn’t aware of that.). The lady who took the order yelled at her said we don’t have drumsticks..do u want thigh, breast or legs? The “legs” were so damn dry my son ended up chucking the so-called dried out leg pieces. Horrible experience..especially this time.

As it is..the place isn’t lit up at nite; they close before the business before the actual time; the people that work there slack off & r very rude too! This lady is there all the time. I’m assuming it’s a manager..if that’s the case she need to be let go.. Church’s will be losing a lot of customers due to this horrible customer service. WE WILL NOT...

Biscuits are burnt, chicken isn't always fresh. They sold me a box of old chicken and I returned it. They get attitudes when you return their product, but I'm not going to eat chicken that's been sitting out hours past lunch and I don't want chicken that's been dipped back in the grease. Their dirty rice is horrible bcuz you can taste that they added water to it to keep it from drying out bcuz the rice was a little soggy and the flavor was off. The dining area is somewhat neat, but they have dingy and nasty bathrooms. I don't use public restrooms, but if they don't take the time out to clean or remodel the bathroom, just imagine the quality of the food you're gonna eat. Not to mention that horrid smell coming the drain right by the drive thru area with the green slime or sludge coming out of...

Well what do you know! I don't know if it's the case that every church is now but I found out yesterday that this churches had spicy fried chicken and when I look online the spicy chicken does not utilize eggs or milk the two most common food allergens in the United States. So today I gave it a try and oh my! It is way better than Popeyes ever thought about being!! The spicy chicken is spicy out of this world and very good! Now I'm hoping that all churches have the same spicy fried chicken I'll have to check on the one at home because I haven't eaten there in years because I never cared for their regular chicken which actually does contain eggs and milk in the batter both.
