We eat here all the time have never had any issues until today. My husband and I both ordered the fajitas off of the lunch menu and water. Paying the bill it was $33.36 I think it is the owner that was running the cash register. I asked why was it so much because we had the lunch fajitas she said well the girl the waitress gave you the dinner fajitas. I said that’s not what we ordered. She said that’s what you got it you got more food. I said we eat here all the time. Why should I have to pay that when y’all gave it incorrectly and she just kept arguing I had to pay that because that’s what they gave us. She said the waitress was new that maybe she needs to explain to her I said yes that would be good. If you explain to people that she’s charging you more for lunch and giving you something you did not ask for. I paid the bill but I truly do not think we were treated fairly! And after leaving looking at my ticket, they now charge 3% to use your credit card. I was not informed of that whatsoever and I have asked the last several times are y’all charging for a credit card and the young man who was at the register those times said oh no ma’am we don’t do that so apparently that has changed as well But I did not ask About a credit charge today, I think that should be noted or informed to the customer though Again, we have always loved eating here. We could get service good food prices or fair, but I will have to decide if we will go back after...
Read moreFirst of all, if I were able to give zero stars for all of the above, I would. I do want to say that we visited this restaurant over a year ago and had an amazing experience overall, so there has obviously been many changes since, which have negatively impacted the entire establishment. Myself and the same 3 girlfriends visited this evening, and I guarentee that none of us return. For starters, our server, Esteban, had zero personality and was beyond inattentive. The food was nothing to write home about either. One plate of enchiladas was so dry, the rice was even stuck to the plate. Though Estaban excused that away by saying "the dishes are baked in oven,'' it clearly had just been under the warmer far too long. Finally, after being approached (not greeted) by the manager, Jamie, regarding this issue, we had simply had enough. She was by far the rudest restaurant manager I have ever encountered. She didn't even bother hiding her rude looks and eye rolls towards us. Each of our experiences were so poor, it's unfortunate for them that we won't be back. If you're still reading, I will add that this may be my 3rd establishment rating ever, we are a fun, small town group of gals and are easily pleased, but I feel that anyone wanting good food and a fun time should know what they may find...
Read moreSo it was my daughter’s 25th Birthday. I drove from Houston, so we could celebrate. She picked Mariachi’s because she went with her friend last year! When we arrived I told the server it was her 25th Birthday. He asked to see her I.D. In my 48 years of living no one has asked for a dang I.D.when I’ve gone out to celebrate my Birthday, but maybe it’s a Brenham thing or racism, I’m not sure. So, after she provided him w her I.D. He took our order but not friendly at all. It’s a Monday, so they were not busy. We were there for a good hour and he only checked on us once when I was able to order another glass of wine. After that I didn’t see him again until we were ready to check out. My issue is customer service! I use to go to Mariachi’s when I used to work in Brenham about 10 years ago and it was great service. After this experience I would never eat or recommend this establishment to anyone else. I was considering having my parents 50th anniversary dinner there, but after this experience I am definitely not going to move forward with it.” It’s hurtful because I truly didn’t appreciate the service due...
