It was just okay, my breakfast came out completely cold, eggs potatoes and bacon were all cold, so I watched my friend eat instead.

The manager was very nice about it they re-cooked my breakfast it came out okay, still not piping hot, but edible, however, by the time I got it I had pretty much filled up on coffee and juice, and of course my friend was finished so she had to sit there and watch me eat. Their special bacon would have been very tasty had it been hotter. The eggs and potatoes were mediocre.

Manager gave me a coupon for next time but I doubt there will be a next time. $42 for 2 people... I don't mind spending money on decent food but this was just not that good and not worth it for lukewarm breakfast. The coffee was not that hot either . As I said, the manager was very nice and we were about to leave. I would have completely let it be at that point, until he started talking again.

And then came the kiss of death, on my way out to the door the manager tried to explain to me that there is a certain spot in the kitchen window that if you sit someone's plate there it gets cold very quickly. Okay dude, I had already paid the check and told you everything was fine. Neither me nor my friend ever said one word of complaint, I just simply asked that my food be heated up. I never requested any comps, discounts or asked that anything be taken off the bill. At this point I had simply chocked it up to "lesson learned" and just wanted to get out of there and go on about my day. I didn't need the extra added explanation which only makes you look incompetent.

As a manager, if you know there's a certain spot in your heat window that the heat lamps don't work and will not keep the food hot, then don't allow your staff to place items there. As a customer I didn't really need a culinary lesson from a manager that is...

The food was excellent! They have so many healthful options with rich and robust flavors. The market omelette and avocado toast were so satisfying. The market omelette was filled with perfectly seasoned roasted vegetables that still had a little crunch to them. It's served with very fresh whole grain bread and jam. The avocado toast is bright and lemony, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with maldon. Amazing! I would give 5 stars but there were a couple issues. The basted eggs are not cooked well. My husband ordered his eggs medium and they were well over medium with a hard chalky yolk. My eggs ordered medium were an altogether different issue. The liquid egg whites that spill out across the plate once I cut into it was unappetizing and I have a hard time not being irritated when the eggs aren't cooked correctly at a breakfast joint. There is also an issue with paying the bill. You're supposed to return to the hostess desk, hand them the bill and settle up- not an unusual setup- however there is no clear delineation between the people waiting to be seated and the people waiting to pay. So you end up with several people crowded around the hostess desk without any attempt to manage the situation. It took over 10 minutes from the time we went up to the hostess desk to when we made it out the...

Despite some imperfect execution, the food and atmosphere here is excellent! The server was very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of the menu and serving options. All staff were very pleasant! Coming home from a week long vacation in Florida allowed for much comparison of restaurant dining in the past week and Fresh Start is among the best! Lots of healthy options including low carb and fresh juices, vitamin shot, vegetarian, cage free eggs, and traditional country style meals as well! We were there for breakfast but there was a lunch menu. Outdoor or indoor dining available. Comfortable atmosphere. Half of our party of 5 got their food way before the other half. The bus boy left the table very wet with residue and a milky cup ring on the seat. I had to clean our bench seat and dry our table before we could sit. Lemon ricotta pancake was a little dry. Lemon topping made up for it. Best unsweetened tea I've had on my week-long trip to the south! Salmon frittatta was so good! The tomatoes in this frittatta were so interesting & delicious! Fresh greens with lemon balsalmic dressing accompanied the frittatta perfectly! Granola and yogurt were very good! This was a busy Sunday meal time and our server grabbed our food as soon as she realized the delay...

Our server was great, attentive and apologetic for slow kitchen. My first visit since making the move toward healthier plant-based eating, so selected the multigrain pancake and added carrots and pecans option for a little more nutritional value. Unpleasantly surprised that it included about a half a cup of raisins in a single pancake… the texture and taste of which just didn’t compliment it at all. The pancake itself was dry and has a flour taste though it seemed to be fully cooked - maybe due to an off balance between liquid and dry ingredients. The egg white omelette and fruit was on point for the second dish at the table. While you can deconstruct several dishes and have something you could eat if you’re vegan, it’s not like having a menu option designed for plant-based eating. A tofu scramble or Just Egg would be a welcome addition as would a plant-based side like impossible sausage or tempeh bacon. Depending on your engagement with animal products, vegetarians have more options if they do dairy and/or eggs. The table was wet/sticky when we were seated.

Terrible value for what we got. This place is a mile from our house. We thought we would try it again today for breakfast. $50 for two people before any tip! Food was okay. Their coffee was better than we remembered. Service was good. I had avocado toast which I remembered never really filled me up in the past so I asked for a single side pancake (lemon ricotta). My tab was $31 with tax before tip. They charged me $11 for a single pancake when the normal order is $12.79. My wife had the chile chorizo omelette. In actuality it was an onion omelette with a hint of chorizo. She loves chorizo and we recently had an amazing breakfast at a Portuguese restaurant where she probably got half a pound of fresh made chorizo for the same price. The parts of the onions used were also chewy. Photo shows a pile of onions she pulled out of the half of the omelette that she ate. We will probably go another 3-5 years before venturing in here again. We decided McDonalds would have been a better option and we haven’t eaten there in years.

First Watch is obviously suffering from the same issue with staff retention that many restaurants share. Bloody Mary's took 15 minutes to make and came with no ice and no bacon, as promised on the menu. Tables were sitting abandoned without being bussed. I have visited often because of their great menu and offerings. Nice outdoor dining area. The frantic and overwhelmed waitstaff took away from the experience, unfortunately. With a $35 a head for breakfast, we had hoped for a more relaxing experience.
