I have stayed in MANY 3 Star hotels but this has to be the best that I have stayed in, in a VERY long time. Initially we considered other places because breakfast is not included in your hotel stay though it can be bought as a packaged deal, we opted out of that and I am glad we did. We returned to our room pretty late every night enjoying family and a lot of what downtown Nashville has to offer. Returning to our room felt like returning to our comfy cozy home. The young lady that checked us in, Kelsie of Franklin, TN, intially seemed a bit nervous but she was ultimately helpful and friendly. There was a gentleman, I think possibly a manager (not the older gentleman w/ graying hair but the kind of chunky caucasian guy w/ almost stiff looking brown hair) at the front desk that never ever spoke, not even when spoken to. There was also a woman at the front desk one day that didn't seem to care too much for our concern though she did provide decent Customer Service, she didn't meet Kelsie's service. Our room was spotless, minus a few small issues that come with wear & tear but nothing that caused a red flag. The housekeeping staff honored our "Do Not Disturb" wishes even on our check-out day and that is a MAJOR pet peeve for me to have the "Do Not Disturb" sign posted on the door and have someone knock on the door shouting "ROOM SERVICE!!!" We had one small tech issue that was fixed quickly and without issues but other than that everything was FAB-U-LOUS! We left our room and requested new towels, only to return to our towels neatly hung, something we didn't expect (we've stayed at several hotels where requesting new towels meant you'd return to find the towels sitting somewhere and that was it). The building was clean both inside & outside, the pool area must have had a magic fairy always tending to it because I never saw a towel just laying around. It was almost as if the grounds both inside & outside had secret vacuum holes in the ground because I never saw trash, other than one glass that was sitting outside of someone's door shortly after we checked-in. Crazy enough, we walked to our room to make sure all was well only to come back out of the room and the glass was gone (lol craziest thing ever). It's almost as if someone has OCD and I am ok with that. Our bathroom had a few rust spots but again, normal wear & tear. It was nothing that was unsightly nor was it disgusting. The refrigerator did seem a bit small but we made it work. We had no issues with the A/C unit, it wasn't loud, nor was the refrigerator. The shower was full of power and it didn't take long to heat. My husband fell in love with the lotion, of all things, as it did smell nicely on his skin. Our microwave did what it was supposed to do, the television didn't require the assistance of a rocket scientist and the curtains actually kept sunlight out as they are supposed to. We did have a spot of dried something, it looked like pulp, on a glass in the room but it was nothing to clean and sanitize that ourselves. Truthfully it, like nothing else was worth complaining about. The bed was clean and comfy, as was everything else in the room. The trash cans are really tiny but hey, you're not at home. The ice machine on our floor operated without issues, as did the evelvator. The hotel was quiet 98% of the time. The other 2% was a result of passerbys talking, no biggie and again, nothing to phone front desk about. The hotel was in a very quiet neighborhood, so quiet it was almost scary. The parking lot was well lit and there wasn't a single missing/dead bulb. We felt safe walking into the hotel in the wee hours of the morning and we were only minorly concerned about or vehicle as there is a sign posted that reads "Park at your own risk...". After reading that we noticed that we weren't asked for our license plate number, nor were we given a parking decal. I'd refer friends and family to this location and we'd...
Read moreI visit Brentwood monthly and have stayed at the Hilton Brentwood/Nashville suites probably close to twenty times. The hotel is sharp, large, nicely decorated, and less than a mile from the office and from some great eateries.
All of the rooms are suites and are nicely appointed. The only difference I've ever noticed amongst the nearly 20 different rooms I've stayed in is that some have tubs and other have sliding glass door showers.
The atrium is freakin' HUGE, and you can look down on all the happenings from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor walkways. There are two glass elevators on either side the make getting to your room easier then using the stairs.
There are a couple restaurants on site, but to be honest I've never eaten in either of them because I enjoy the look foodery so much.
The grounds, while not massive, are nicely kept. Parking can be a challenge in that some (read that: a lot) of drivers don't know how to park in a space that's not four sides with right angles. I've seen some REALLY bad parking jobs in the spaces that are narrow at the curb and widen as they go out.
The Executive Lounge is an amazingly awesome thing for those with Gold or Diamond status. Open from early until late Monday through Friday, there's always a selection of fruit, beverages, and snackery. It's a limited selection of each and, in the over two years I've been coming here, never changes. They have breakfast available in the morning and some light Hors d'oeuvres during dinner hours, along with limited bar service. These are not meant as a substitute for dinner, but rather something to bridge the gap until your evening meal.
There's a little market area things that's got snacks and beverage available for purchase that come with that "convenient" pricing. Soft drinks, beers, ice cream, frozen snackitude, an assortment of chips and the like, and a few sundry items in case you forgot to bring some.
The pool and hot tub are awesome. The pool isn't heated, so in the cooler months you're taking your chances. The hot tub is my single-favourite element of the entire hotel, and I cherish my time in it.
The staff has always been absolutely great. They're helpful and friendly and always have the answers to my questions. There was even a time when someone tried to charge a beer to my room. When I asked about it the gentleman at guest services removed it with no hassle.
On one stay, at 3:30 in the morning, I heard a noise coming from INSIDE my room. I'm the only one in the room and both locks were locked, so I kinda freaked because this loud noise definitely came from inside. When I turned on the light I saw that the mirror that's on the wall above the fridge/microwave/coffee maker area had fallen off the wall. Completely unannounced. At 3:30 in the morning. It fell forward and ended up on the floor. Even more amazing: The Mirror Did Not Break. (photo included).
(let that sink in)
I was a bit weirded out not only that it fell, but also because it didn't break. I did not immediately go back to sleep.
There is a nightly parking fee for this facility. When I first started visiting it was $5 per car per night. Then it was $8. Now it's $10. With that kind of increase - in a year's time - you'd think there would be some kind of visual improvements, but I see nothing.
The only "complaint" I have is that the offerings in the Executive Lounge could vary a bit. I love just about everything about this hotel and I look forward...
Read moreThis place is absolutely AMAZING! Everything from the decor to the team, to the cleanliness of this Hilton Brentwood Suite, is an absolute blessing. I booked a different Airbnb for my entire week's stay & it was a horrifying experience that left me stranded for 3 nights. By a miracle, this place saved me with the ability to book last minute all three nights in a row and truly made the remainder of my trip an everlastingly memorable experience with my sister and me. This trip wasn’t just a normal Nashville trip for me, it was the trip I had to say farewell to my sister who was moving to college. Her move-in date was late so we had so much scrambling to do. My sister & I have shared cherished memories of ordering take-out and watching TV on the big screen in the living room. The beds are lux with the comfiest mattress and pillows. I forgot to ask where the pillows are from they were literally that comfortable. It was simple, chic & cozy. This Hilton team deserves more than 5 stars, they really deserve the award for the best there is. They care for your wellbeing, they care for your safety, and they care for your trip & the enjoyment there of it. I can’t express my gratitude and appreciation for them. I’m so sorry if I misspell your names but each individual truly deserves the recognition they deserve. I am praying Hilton corporate sees this! Eryn, thank you for being an absolute caring gem. On my first stranded evening of 48 hours of zero sleep, you saved me. You helped book me a last-minute room at about 12 am & when I came in looking like a complete wreck, you showed nothing but compassion. Terry, the biggest sweetheart there is, you saved me on my second night when I got stranded with also a last-minute booking. You also provided me with accurate information about when the restaurant closed & let me put my order in for food before checking in to make sure my sister & I didn’t miss dinner (it was delicious). Joshua the technician, thank you for coming to our rescue so quickly & being so informative & helpful. I couldn't imagine sleeping with the spinning toilet and you fixed it in less than 30 seconds and arrived in less than 5 minutes. Not only does your care really show but you stayed to chat with us for a few minutes which made us feel human and not just another number. I wish every technician was like you. Will the manager of the place, thank you for making sure everything is smooth. Each one of you makes this place special. If it wasn’t for you my stay wouldn’t have been half as wonderful. To the cleaning woman on level 3 during my stay, I didn’t get a chance to catch your name but you had the sweetest smile, the kindest accent & worked so hard. You made sure every single place in the room was spotless. I’ve never met someone so dedicated to their work as you were. Thank you to this entire team for being the most compassionate & caring individuals I’ve met. Nashville, Hilton & anywhere else is lucky to have you blessed with their presence. HILTON KEEP THESE PEOPLE ON YOUR TEAM PLEASE! THEY ALL...
