This is a good American delivery for last minute at the hotel.
Wings, lovely. Good size & great flavor. Onion rings, classic & on point. Burgers, resounding in flavor & bountifully large. Fries were crisp.
I didn't have access to the atmosphere. The weather threatened tornadoes, so we bunked in.
I will say, ordering on apps is ... less than EFFECTIVE. Dependence on new tech has affected Nashvilles reputation for being country to the core. I spent too long (45 minutes) trying to get the order in, small businesses lose customers to higher ground/profiles with coupons or franchises crowding the space. I dislike this as a chef, I want smaller companies to make more money 💰 🤑 & get more foot traffic. When I cannot have direct support from the business, the app is actually gaining a control measure over the customer & the business. Not a feature, a drawback. Offering an app more control means less responsive staff who learn more about the company or invest in growth for the company. Small businesses suffer against; price points, advertising, responses to new customers, retention of established base etc.,
Nashville doesn't feel southern...it feels like a suburb of parts of L.A., New York, Chicago. I genuinely have a heartache because it's not how it was when I was a Lil bit. I think of Cash, Parton, Gayle, titans. Maybe Ill begin to like Nashville later...Jeffersons has good food. I am as saddened, many people I love mentioned Nashville has begun the march toward silicon socialism.
Small businesses' personality & interaction is exactly why & how culture is embedded in beautiful areas of the world. It is essential to...
Read moreWhen I walked in, the waitress/hostess/cashier/cook was on her computer & phone sitting at a booth and coughing. She came up to the counter and asked what I wanted. After looking for a while (with no suggestions from her), I found out what I wanted. The lady printed out my ticket and walked to the back without saying anything. She started making my food. I don’t think that she washed her hands, but I don’t know for sure. Another worker came from the restroom and walked to the back. This would not bother me, if he washed his hands in a sink outside of the restroom (as required by the health department). He also rubbed his nose while walking back to the kitchen. I asked the waitress if she and he had washed their hands and she just guaranteed me that there were two sinks in the back. She walked to the back and came back to the register. I then paid her, she game me the food and I walked out. After I opened the box (I got this order to-go), I noticed that 1 of the boneless chicken wings was only 1 inch long (a lot small that I thought chicken wings were). That is not a lot for $9.00 for only 6-wings and fries. I decided that maybe that was just an odd one and I would give them one more chance. I picked up another wing and it was also 1 inch long. All of this is why I will not go back to Jefferson’s Restaurant again and advise you to go to some other place for food...
Read moreWe frequented one in Murfreesboro when we lived there and were very excited to see there was one open in Brentwood. A 25 minute drive, but worth it we thought, based on our past experiences at the Murfreesboro location. My wife and I drove out there ready for the Jefferson’s experience but were thoroughly disappointed when we walked in and were completely ignored by the staff for more than 10 minutes straight. Not a “Hello, we’ll be with you shortly” or anything. Not a word. Yes it was busy, but at least acknowledge a customer that is waiting to be seated while hovering over other seated guests. 3 times 2 employees came and talked to tables, standing literally a foot away from us without acknowledging us. It seemed as if they weren’t making eye contact with us on purpose, sending a strong signal for us to leave. After glancing down at our watches again, we decided to turn around and walk out. This happened around 7:35 pm tonight. We won’t be inconveniencing this location again. I try to be understanding in these matters, as I’ve managed foodservice establishments for going on 2 decades, but this was not only awkward, it was complete unprovoked disrespect. We’re great tippers too. It would’ve been...
