Came in close to closing time which i hate doing but certain circumstances made it our only option tonight. As im walking into the store one of the employees turned her back and said “really?” to the other employees and they all got quiet and then started laughing. Aaliyah then told us the oven had been turned off i said thats ok. The other girl then said “i already put up all the meats too so ill have to unwrap them.” Aaliyah then yelled out “yeah what time is it?” The other girl said 8:45 and she replied “yeah wow.” Then the girl about the make the sandwich throws her hands up and says to aaliyah “bread. Wheres the bread? Theres no bread.” They all start joking and laughing saying “no bread? Oh nooo. Yeah i already put the bread up because i thought no one else was coming in…” and then gets really quiet and really awkward because the other two girls and myself are surprised by how direct and rude she’s purposefully being. The one girl next to her in the back then smiles apologetically at me and the girl making my sandwich says “its fine.” To me. I said “is it? I dont think it is.” And then i continue on and try to ignore the other girl but unfortunately she came to do the condiments and as shes about to start she says “and im not making a mess either.” all of this is being said with an attitude and laying it on thick that they are mad that we came in late. I paid the girl who had been making all of the comments for my sandwich and asked her name(aaliyah), thanked her and told her to have a good night. She says “are you serious?” To the other girls as i walk away to get my drink. One of the other girls then walks up and apologizes saying that thats just how they joke. I said its ok i get it i used to work in a sub shop and hated when people came in late but it is pretty rude to make pointed “jokes” in front of the customer, i appreciate you apologizing, you were nice (nicer anyways) but im not stupid and that was meant personal. She just keeps saying the same thing i said its ok and start walking out the door at this point aaliyah shouts out “im sorry whats happening?” Like she wanted to argue. I just kept walking and left. I actually started to record on my phone when i started noticing how brazen and abrasive they were being so if the manager would like that video id be happy to show them. Food is good as always and the...
Read moreI have been a regular at the Brevard location for a long time. My 4 year old loves the place. The food is always perfect. That being said, something has changed. The reason my 4 year old loves the place is because the employees would engage with him in conversation. Watch him dance and tell him how great he did. On our last couple of visits the woman at the register didn't even acknowledge he was speaking to her. The other employees were about the same. The last time he came with me he had drawn a picture on a piece of paper and wanted to give it to his friend, one employee who still at least talks to him. Today, I went in by myself for lunch and tried to strike up casual conversation with the manager slicing the turkey for my sandwich saying, "Looks like you are having a busy lunch." He literally just looked up at me. Put the meat on my bread and turned away to the grill without so much as a, "Yes sir we're busy." Nothing. I paid for the lunch and then had to pack my things into a bag myself since I had to get it to go. So much for my little boy coming in chanting, "Jersey Mike's!" over and over. Don't worry about...
Read moreI love Jersey Mike's! I'm from Jersey and this is the only place that comes close to real NJ subs. I almost always order delivery exclusively on special promo days to make it more worth-it because they are a bit expensive. I just get a giant cuz it's cheaper than 2 regulars and eat it for a few days. Today I went weird. Jersey Mike's almost never adds anything new, and if they do, it's a usually a re-add. I got a cheesesteak with bacon, no peppers and onions, and asked them to top it like a Bacon Cheeseburger ATW. Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mayo & mustard, I added my own ketchup. Flippin' phenomenal, the burgers around here aren't THAT great, I usually feel like I can make a better one at home. But this really hit the spot, I'll def get it again when I'm subbed out but still want...
