McDonald's — Restaurant in Brewer

The folks who work here have great customer service, but everything coming out of the window, as a rule, is bad. Tea/Sweet Tea tastes like they haven't cleaned the equipment properly. If you go to any other McDonalds in the area, order a tea, and then come here and order a tea, there is a distinct almost "moldy" flavor. You can do this year round, I promise you, you'll know immediately what I'm talking about.

The fries here the majority of the time were clearly not made fresh, and in some instances have been sitting so long they are basically just sticks of stale mush. Occasionally you get that fresh crispy McDonalds fries you know and love, but 80/20 rule, you're going to be disappointed. 5$ for a large box of basically dog food.

Their burgers and nuggets, similarly, as a rule, taste like they've just been sitting out for hours. The patties we got today were both overcooked, and tasted/appeared like they were just leftover patties from last night left on the countertop. We had bacon on one that was so bad we could bang against the side of the car and we got a comical "thunk thunk thunk". I wouldn't call it inedible, but regrettable for sure.

All that said they still charge $12+ for a meal. Please, at the very least, go across the river to either McDonalds location on the Bangor side. You have a far better chance at getting eatable food there. If they served this quality of food in a prison daily it'd be cruel.

I've eaten here on and off for years occassionally forgeting, but it has gotten so bad, never again. They need to shut down and reopen after giving the place a significant overhaul. You will overpay for low quality food that you will then pay for again either on the toilet or in the...

It's McDonalds....the food is always the same. But I will say they used to have a lot more options. The McDonalds menu now is the most boring menu hands down out of any fast food restaurant. They need to bring back the Fajita....or at least the chicken wraps....those were awesome. Other than that staff is always friendly and the facility is pretty clean and well kept compared to the worst McDonalds I've ever been in which would be the Newport location. It's like they only hire the biggest idiots in the world to work at that location. That is not the case here. But at the end of the day McDonalds food is expensive and they give you less. Nit to mention the food has started tasting funky....maybe it's my taste buds....but its almost not edible at this point. Long story short....if your in a rush and your starving it will hit the spot then immediately leave your body one hour later in the form of explosive diarrhea. The people there are great and the facility is clean and the outside is well...

Only giving 2 stars because somehow this crapshoot of a McDonald’s managed to get all the major parts of our order in the bag. That said, not a single part of any of this food was remotely decent. My wife’s burger literally had all the sesame seeds picked off (in the picture) my large fry was upside down in the bag and after digging out all the fries, I had less than my wife’s medium fry. Nothing seemed remotely fresh. Asked for BBQ and Sweet and sour for nuggets and was told by the man in the drive through that the sauce was in fact in the bag….it wasn’t. The lettuce on one of the sandwiches was almost all brown. These people want 15$ an hour? How about that 12$ an hour minimum wage for minimum effort. I get that it’s not anyone’s ideal job, but if you can’t do it right, don’t do it at all.
