I regret to inform anyone considering dining at the Country Gym in Brewton, but my recent experience was nothing short of abysmal. You can't hear anything in this poorly designed building. The acoustics are awful. The food was not good.

Let's start with the food – or rather, let's not. The menu has a selection that seemed promising, but the execution fell embarrassingly short. Food was frozen stuff, just terrible really.

As for the service, I have never encountered a more uninterested staff. It was as though they were doing me a favor by acknowledging my presence. Requests for simple condiments or drink refills were met with sighs of annoyance, as if we were inconveniencing them.

Their demeanor was as unappetizing as the food they served, with sour expressions and an utter lack of professionalism. You will need to be intoxicated to enjoy this food. Poor quality. High price tag. The menu does not match what you order. Hashbrowns are smashed deep fried tater tots with garlic salt.... definitely not a hasbrown. The price tags don't match the quality either. Don't try a quesadilla cheeseburger because it's a literal hamburger patty wrapped in a flour tortilla and they will cook your medium rare burger meat to leather. Stopped for lunch during a motorcycle trip with a large group. The chef came out and let us know everything is made from scratch, except for the fries so it would would take a few minutes. We appreciated the heads up.
