Was better when Henry was running it. I find it to be inconsistent now. I order the same thing all the time and each time it's been different. Sometimes it has garlic sometimes it doesn't. I prefer the sauce the old way. The broccoli isn't trimmed well anymore and has the leafy stuff still attached which looks sloppy and makes it hard to eat. The crispy noodle things are different now too. The new owner said she made them herself and they were better now. I didn't find that to be the case and they were stale a few times. I am a lil disappointed but she has only been the new owner a few months and I hope they iron it all out but so far I am unhappy. I have been coming here for 18 years and ALWAYS loved it and had consistent service. We will see what happens....shopping for a new place :(
I have changed my review. I wanted to love it. The owner did say the right things, but my last order they did not give me rice. When I called to ask if this was a new practice of not including rice. The owner asked me to come back and pick it up. To be honest, after working all day and just getting home, I had zero desire to head back to pick it up.
The owner called me back and told me to stop in anytime for rice "free of charge"
Unfortunately, I will...
Read moreThis was deffently the saddest Chinese food ever. My wife ordered the Noodle bowl with chicken. The flat noodles were actually mushy and stuck together in the bottom of the container. The chicken rubbery as well thrown on top. Ordered beef sticks and they were dried out, more like beef jerky. I ordered the seafood and broccoli , there was one rock lobster, ( over cooked) there were fresh and old scallops mixed in.plus the fake crab that was actually slimey, the smaller ones had a grey color to them. The shrimp and broccoli was almost done right . We ordered over $47, 00 and were offered to their coupon a shrimp low Mein , we received a quart of broth with nothing in it. My suggestion is to avoid at all cost. They had a Chinese restaurant called the Sultans WOK that is closed, maybe the employees just moved location. I appreciate that the owner responds to the reveiws. But...
Read moreWent here because Bamboo Gardens is closed on Tuesday. Used to be really good until the new owners took over a few years back. After reading reviews, decided to give it another try. Everyone in the shop was very pleasant. Ordered chicken and broccoli, wonton soup, shrimp rolls and sweet and sour shrimp. I tried the broccoli. It tasted strange, like, old. The shrimp roll's wrapper was hard. Think stale tortilla to wrap your egg roll. The sweet and sour shrimp, although the shrimp were cooked (they're smaller than Bamboo Gardens), the batter was not cooked through. It tasted like paste. I imagine I'll be tasting it again tonight when it comes back up. The brown rice tasted strange also, kind of like chemicals. The soup was good. Lesson learned: if in the mood for Chinese food and it's Tuesday, wait till Wednesday when Bamboo...
