While the food is fine and what you’d expect from a breakfast place, I highly assume the waiters and waitresses would wear masks.
Nowadays, you are told not to go anywhere without a mask and while the customers here are in line for outdoor dining wearing the mask, the waiters and waitresses do not. Which is extremely unsettling. You can only assume the people cooking the food aren’t wearing masks either.
When I came with my family, looked around, and noticed the employees weren’t wearing masks, I asked “your employees don’t wear masks?” The reply was “no they don’t. If you are uncomfortable, you can leave.” We obviously left.
For the safety of your staff and your customers, PLEASE wear a mask. These guidelines weren’t put in to place just for fun. And only to select people. These are guidelines for everyone to adhere to.
Being a place of business which handles food, which can be easily contaminated, I honestly don’t understand why you wouldn’t wear them. It would make everyone much more comfortable and safer.
I have been to many outdoor dining places and this is the very first one where the staff does...
Read moreDecent food, decent price, horrible atmosphere. Everything is in a single room with a cathedral ceiling. The acoustics mean that you can hear EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE in the restaurant. Every time the spatula scrapes the grill. Every cough at a table across the room. The volume was so loud, I regretted not bringing my headphones with me. If there was background music, I couldn't hear it at all. The restaurant appears to be run by an elderly couple, the husband doesn't move from the register, and the wife is mostly in charge of the coffee. The room was covered by two servers, a middle aged lady and a teenage girl. I was served by the girl, she appeared to have more tables than she could handle. It was a wait for everything, to get coffee, to place my order, etc. Everyone seemed friendly enough, but I can't see ever coming back. Maybe if they installed some booths, some partitions, or even just a false wall separating the kitchen window and server area from the dining area, it would be just a...
Read moreI'm only in this area temporarily, but I stumbled across this place while searching for a breakfast restaurant. When I drove there, I was a bit surprised by the building... its certainly not very impressive or eye catching.
However, when I stepped into the place, it was a totally different story. The inside had a simple clean, cafe-like feel. I was immediately led to a table, waitress was incredibly friendly and pointed out some of the local favorite items and specials for the day, and the service folk readily offered us fresh coffee.
Ended up ordering the 'Kahuna'... and it had the most delicious waffle I've had in a long time, 2 eggs, Crispy Bacon without excessive greasiness, and 2 qualirlty giant link sausages (not that Jimmy Dean crap you normally get at Denny's and the like). Granted, the price was slightly more than those standard locations but it was well worth the couple...
