Nestled in Bridgeport, 4th Street Cafe is a breakfast and lunch haven that's as comforting as finding an old friend in a new city. With super friendly service and a welcoming vibe that instantly puts you at ease, it's the perfect spot to bring family.

We broke our fast with a bold move, the Irish Benedict, which proved to be an absolute showstopper. Imagine corned beef hash, perfectly poached eggs, and an English muffin, all draped in a silky hollandaise sauce, accompanied by a side of the crispiest hash browns. It's a dish that will definitely sham-rock your taste buds.

We dove further into the heart of comfort food territory with the Biscuits and Gravy, accompanied by home fries that could easily be the poster child for classic breakfast comfort. However, then came the Steak & Eggs, ordered medium but unfortunately it arrived well-done. While not what we were hoping for, the eggs were a saving grace, sunny side up and perfect, alongside home fries and a biscuit, making it a mixed bag of delight and minor disappointment.

The Cheesesteak Breakfast Bowl, with its thinly sliced steak, provolone, grilled onions, and peppers, aimed for the stars. While it was a bit on the dry side and perhaps not a repeat order for us, it's the effort and ambition that count, especially when exploring a menu that's as inviting as the one at 4th Street.

Though the Cheesesteak Bowl left something a little more to be desired, the overall experience, highlighted by the Irish Benedict, left us all eager for a return visit. The 4th Street Cafe isn't just a place for a meal; it's a place that can feel like home.

With a visit to the 4th Street Cafe, you're not just eating out; you're building memories, one bite at a time. And with such a cozy, friendly spot in your corner, you're sure to become the family's favorite host, ready to explore more of what this charming cafe has to offer, one...

I visited the 4th Street Cafe in Bridgeport Pa based on a suggestion from a good friend who had been there a couple of times. The restaurant nestled in the heart of Bridgeport has a fun yet charming atmosphere. When you arrive you are greeted by Rudy the Rooster outside the restaurant. Decorated in fine Philadelphia Phillies t-shirt serving as the support for the local team.

Once inside the door this 50's style restaurant greets you with all its charm. The staff lead by Ron and Peggy the owners of the café greet you with a smile and takes you to one of the many tables or booths in the restaurant. There is also a bar area that overlooks the kitchen which is in full view.

The Chef at the helm is Matt one of the owners sons. Standing at a mere 6'6" this giant with his kind and friendly spirit says welcome to the 4th Street. Matt mainly posted at the egg station leads his team to create and prepare the food for the customers.

This kitchen which even after hours of use was very clean. You see the dedication in the staff to keep it that way. Clean and organized. You also see a team that has been together for awhile playing off each other like a professional sports team.

I ordered a Turkey Rachel with sweet potato fries. My order came out in short time and was simply amazing. The freshness of the meat and slaw were in the forefront. The bread grilled to perfection with a butter taste. It was a very generous portion. I enjoyed every last bite. The fries were also great, best I've had in awhile.

I can't say enough about my experience at the 4th Street Cafe, except I will be back again with friends.

If you haven't tried this jewel in Bridgeport, PA, it is a must add...

I visited the café today on my way home from Allentown,PA. I got a seat at the counter for a front row seat to see all the action in the kitchen. Matt the Chef and leader of the team was on point. Pop Ron greeted with a smile and a friendly nod. The waitress served me up a hot cup of Java and gave me some time to pick my meal. I decided to get the Benedict special which was a waffle drizzled with honey topped with breaded piece of chicken, more honey, two perfectly cooked poached eggs and delicious golden holandiese sauce and a final drizzle of honey. Perfectly cooked potatoes completed the plate. A master piece of flavors and beauty to the eye. After admiring the dish I cut into it releasing the golden yolk. I got a taste of all in one bite and it was a flavor explosion in my mouth. The honey added that level of sweetness to the dish without overpowering the dish. Yumm was the best way to describe my first bite. The creativity was amazing.

If you haven't been there yet add it to the list you will not be...

This is our favorite easy breakfast spot, you can catch us here on Sunday mornings for eggs and pancakes. The food is great, cheap and the staff is friendly and it feels like home.
