The aroma of fine Italian cuisine leaving the Bijou Theatre beckoned us to dinner after the Candlelight concert. No reservation, but they gave us a table for two. To my companion's delight, a photo of his paternal cousin, the famous opera singer, Rosa Ponselle, hung on the wall. The owner, Pasquale, turned out to be an avid admirer. We each ordered a Negroni and looked over the menu. Eating less these days, we shared the little neck clams in white wine and garlic appetizer, and the risotto with calamari, mussels, clams and shrimp with cherry tomatoes main. For me, the little neck clams could have been cooked a little less. We rarely eat dessert, but with the tartufo gelato being sold out, we decided to try the house tiramisu with a shot of Amaretto and cappuccino. The cake had a nice moist bottom. Everything was good and the portions weren't too large. Their Napoletana wood brick oven fired pizzas were popular with guests as we saw many go to the bar and tables. We almost got one to try but agreed we'll have one another time.

Three of us came here for lunch and had an excellent experience. It was our first time eating here and everything went really well. The atmosphere is nice…it was quiet so it was relaxing and easy to talk with each other. When you walk in there’s a bar area. As you walk further in there is the dining room area. Everything was clean. Our waitress Mel was awesome. She was friendly and attentive. They offer a wide variety of food options as well as a few specials. Besides the full bar they have a pretty extensive wine list. We each had different meals and all three were very good. The parking, entrance and seating are all wheelchair friendly. The restaurant is conveniently located as it’s not far from I-95 the train station and the Port Jefferson to Bridgeport ferry. Definitely recommend!

Went here after looking up the reviews and our first impressions were good. There is street parking but on a Friday night it is likely going to be packed. Fortunately there is a parking garage right next door. The decor of the restaurant is vibrant, full of art and vintage photographs. The atmosphere feels modern and intimate. The owners are on site and very welcoming to customers. We ordered a selection of dishes: lasagna, gnocchi, risotto, Margherita pizza, meatballs... all were cooked to perfection. The pasta was fresh and delicious and the food came out at a great pace. We ended the night with an order of homemade tiramisu which was worth every calorie along with a light strawberry gelato which ended the evening perfectly. This was our first visit but won't be our last!

I came here on a weekday night for dinner, and it was great! When I entered, the restaurant was mostly empty, so I was quickly seated. The service was great and I was promptly given water and a menu, and my order was taken when I was ready. I ordered a caprese salad and the crab gnocchi. While these were getting made, I was given bread with olive oil on the side. I was disappointed by the bread though because the crust was quite hard and not tasty at all; I really hate wasting food but I only peeled off the inside soft part to eat. The caprese was tasty and fresh, and I liked the presentation. There were three pieces of tomato and mozzarella, and it was very light and tasty. My gnocchi took a while to come out, but that tells me it was being freshly made, hooray! It was delicious as well. The gnocchi was chewy, and the sauce was flavorful but not overpowering. There was also a really good amount of crab and tomatoes; they definitely did not skimp on that. All in all, I was very happy with the food here as well as the attentive service. The ambiance was also relaxing and peaceful, and I enjoyed eating here. I would definitely recommend it! Price-wise, $48 post-tax pre-tip for the food I got is on the pricey end, but I guess that's normal for Italian food. Plus, two people could have shared the food I ordered (I took half the gnocchi to-go), so quantity is quite big. Good quality, good quantity, good service - what more can...

Disappointed on service, food is not great. My friend raved about the home-made pasta here so we made reservations several days in advance (to celebrate my partner’s birthday). Arrived a bit early and sat at the bar and ordered an appetizer. The carpaccio had brown ends, arugula was dry. By the time we got seated the place was loud, but we had a small table at the corner which made it not too bad. Took 20 minutes to order because they had a “rush” of people coming in. I asked a few questions about the menu and later found out that the waitress gave me incorrect answers. When the food came, my partner (who had clearly ordered gnocci with crabmeat AND pointed at the item on the menu) received something completely different -she put the wrong order. No one would look our way. When we finally grab someone’s attention they looked puzzled… waitress was nowhere to be found. Apologies from her. Bread came after the meal. Right dish came by the time mine was practically cold -crabmeat was from a jar, not fresh. Ordered tiramisu, it was dry, there was no coffee in it or anything soaking the sponge cake. We waited 20 minutes and finally decided to ask for the bill, pen had no ink in the pen, but plenty to go all over my fingers. We were there for 2 hs total and the manager never showed up to even ask how our evening was going. Thankfully we were laughing, but we’ll...

Was in the area and looking for a place to have lunch, did a google search and it looked like a nice spot so we stopped in.

First, the place was spotless, smelled like it was just freshly cleaned and the staff were very friendly when we entered. The server and all of the staff had masks on which was nice considering the current situation and they seemed to take what was going on seriously.

We started with some fried calamari, for entrees I had the gnocchi alla sorrentina, wife had the pappardelle with bolognese sauce, MiL had the pasta carbonara, kids had chicken cutlets and they even made some fries even though they didn’t have it on the menu.

Everything was made fresh, the gnocchi were very light, and most importantly, delicious. Wife loved the pappardelle, MiL love the carbonara and the kids devoured the cutlets and fries.

For desert, we had the Tiramisu, again excellent.

So glad we found this place, even though we were from out of town, we plan on coming back to CT just for another round of their delicious food and incredible service. Please, if your in the area, definitely support them, would be a shame to see them close during these hard times. I know we will spread the word because they truly deserve it,...
