Here we go again with another Blk owned business with subpar service and mediocre food. I drove 40 minutes to try their food after googling some Restaurantās in the Bridgeport area. I walked into this established only to feel like it was a Covid clinic. Not clean at all. They have children working so everything moves slow when it should move fast.
I stood on the line for 15 minutes to order and asked to dine in. Their chairs are tiny and uncomfortable. They barley cleaned the table we were sitting at. After about 32 minutes we finally got our drinks only for it to taste like Diabetes in a cup. I asked for water to dilute it and they said they donāt have bottled water. Wow is all i could say. I was over it after seeing another table get their food before I did as they literally walked in after we did.
Then I see the cooks preparing a catering order and doing outside deliveries which is why we had to wait over an hour for our food! I was disgusted and disappointed! I asked for my money back and the young man behind the counter tells me Iām up next. Oh so now my food is up next smfh yeah okay. I waited an additional 20 minutes more for my food to go because now they had to find to-go plates. This establishment is by far the most Ghetto establishment Iāve ever come across and thatās saying a lot coming from a Chef. I havenāt even begun to get on the over cooked fish with missing bread and they really tried me taking my chicken wings out of my order and putting some little chicken finger meat on top of my waffles! I knew I should have just walked out because I knew better after waiting an hour!!!!!
The place was too hot with no air circulating despite having fans; whether youāre standing or sitting. The ceiling looks like itās about to collapse. After what I had to sit through, Iām definitely calling The Health Department on this place Monday.
They are doing too many things at once they need a bigger place and better staff or maybe the owner if she isnāt so busy trying to pretend to be a boss; needs to get her house in order. Lord I canāt wait to open up my restaurant because i intend to put establishments like this to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday I went to celebrate my friendās birthday for brunch we arrived and it was a nice amount of people there. The tables were full but one was empty but dirty we stood there for 10 minutes while staff worked and also walked past us standing there. Finally I assume the owner who was ringing out customers, asked if we were dining in or takeout we stated dining in and the table we wanted to sit at. Someone came over cleaned the table and shortly after our waitress came over and took our order. We tried the Peach cobbler oatmeal it was amazing received that and our drinks right away. 25 minutes later my friends were served their food Fish and Grits & Shrimp & Grits again food was very good my food did not come, I ordered the Fruity Pebbles French Toast with Chicken. After my waitress did not come back to let me know there was an issue with my food I flagged down another waitress who told me there was a mistake with my order 30 more minutes had passed my friends were done with their food and I was annoyed canceled my order. The young lady apologized and removed it from my bill. The customer service is horrible sad that the food was good but staff lacked acknowledgment of patrons. Even the people next to us had to flag a waitress down to place a order after 20minutes of being seating. I will never go again, I love to support Black businesses, Keeping money in our communities is what we should be doing but with service like that I canāt say I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been to this spot three times already. First time for a business lunch meeting, it was good, just not enough time spent. The second time, I decided to do take-out, because of timing and that experience was better, but still not good enough for me. The food was good but just didn't hold up long enough for me to enjoy it.
Now as for this last visit, almost perfection šš¾I decided to make this trip a solo dolo, taking a self-care day , with first giving myself the best meal, at the top of my day. I walked in on a Sunday, hoping there wasn't a crowd, expecting it anyway, and there was one. I wasn't quite clear on the protocol after entering, so I stepped out of the entrance way and sat at the first table, to wait for the line to die down, and then because I was talking on my phone I somehow got skipped over. I had to wait another 20-30 minutes for a single table to be available š¤·š¾āāļø I continued my phone call and waited patiently for my turn. When that time came, I already knew what I wanted to eat and so that did not take long. My very first time having shrimp and grits, with that famous honey biscuit and some fried fish on the side. I took my time and severed every bit of my meal, was delicious š š¤¤ š good to the last drop and worth the wait, of what felt like an hour. I'll...
