While the amount of artifacts they have on display right now is small, the tour guides know so much about everything it doesn't seem like a small museum!! She was able to stop at each artifact and talk about them for a few minutes each, giving so much more information than I even knew was possible. I love how they embrace the success of the movie but also are able to describe the things that are incorrect from it. You could tell the ladies working here are honestly passionate about Barnum and it was great that all of the artifacts are 100% original. I really can't wait to come back when the full museum is restored, if the description of the renovations on their website is accurate it sounds like it'll be a amazing. Read moreThe Barnum Museum is a staple to any visit to Brisgeport, as the man basically built the city. The entrance and tours are completely free, but they encourage donations at the front desk. The tour guides keep up on their research and are able to answer any question you may possibly have about Barnum and the city. I love visiting the Barnum Museum! The artifacts are interesting and it was nice to know the history behind everything. The museum itself is actually closed due to damage from a tornado a few years ago.
