Bridgeton Family Diner — Restaurant in Bridgeton

The wife and I decided to take a late afternoon drive through South Jersey farm country and got hungry while we were out. Looked up online and found this place in Bridgeton. Turned out to be a great choice. The place was busy but not overcrowded. We were seated immediately and greeted by a very friendly server named Xiomara. We ordered beverages and when she returned we ordered our food. Everything was fresh, hot and seemed to be homemade. I got a diner staple, chicken croquettes served on mashed potatoes and smothered in gravy. This was what they called a mini meal, that came with soup or salad, one vegetable, and dessert. I had cream of potato soup, and fried zucchini. Absolutely delicious. For a mini meal, the portions were more than enough. The wife had beef tips, which looked more like pepper steak, but was delicious and a huge portion. With both meals, beverages and tip we spent $50. I will be going back here for sure. A very...

First time and last time eating here. I ordered the open faced Reuben and there was a hair on my plate. So I sent it back for them to remake it. The waitress said she took off half of what the meal cost me. They brought out a fresh sandwich and what do you know!?! Another hair! This time I took a picture. They did take off the rest of the meal and the tea but they made my husband pay for his half eaten meal cause he lost his appetite. Check your food when you eat here. I’m guessing they have some cooks back there not wearing hair nets or other food safety things. Gag! Worse experience ever. Won’t go back. Actually amazing food. I got one of the lunch specials, it came with your Cho ce of soup or salad. I went with the salad and Caesar dressing, it was probably the best salad dressing I've had and the salad itself was a good mix of veggies. For the main I got the Taylor Ham and cheese steak sandwich and it was delicious. It came with a generous portion of steak fries.
