As someone who previously lived around the Oak Tree Road area in Edison for many years, one of my biggest disappointments of moving to the Bridgewater area was that there aren't too many good options for Indian food. I was very excited when I saw this restaurant open up, especially during the current pandemic.
I ordered the chicken tikka masala, which in my opinion, is the litmus test of any North Indian style food. I'm going to be completely honest, my first impression was that the food was a bit bland and nothing out of the ordinary. I realized that the food had actually gone a bit cold during my drive back from picking up the food. A quick reheat in a pan totally changed my opinion. The chicken was delicious and the sauce was very well seasoned. Not as spicy as I would have preferred, but absolutely a great balance of spice and flavor. The food was far better than some of the other options in the area, where the food can be excessively oily or salty, making you feel awful afterwards. I'd say without a doubt, this is the best chicken tikka masala that you'll find in the area.
The restaurant has a very user friendly website and app, which I highly recommend to anyone ordering from here. The usual Doordash and Grubhub apps tend to charge huge fees to both the customer and the restaurant. I prefer to support the restaurant directly.
I'm looking forward to coming back soon to try out some of the other options. They have an extensive menu of Indian and...
Read moreI ordered the weekly homemade food order and it was delicious! Everything came package nicely and delivered to my front door step. The Indian food was very homemade and very yummy- the kids really enjoyed it as well. The rotis were perfect and warmed up well. I was able to order the green and red Thai curry dishes and they tasted better than what you would get at a Thai restaurant because they were not made with all that heavy cream. I had a moong dhal salad and love their Tumeric Ginger Honey dressing. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I also ordered from the restaurant separately and the Hakka noodles and chicken kabobs were a hit! You won’t be disappointed with their food. The weekly fresh homemade food makes your evenings simple and the family is happy with...
Read moreI had the unfortunate experience of trying out their Chicken Tikka appetizer yesterday. It was probably the worst Chicken Tikka I have ever had in my life. The chicken wasn’t marinated well, the smell was just nauseating and the taste was horrible. With much higher pricing as compared to other Indian restaurants in the area, I expected the quality and presentation of the dish to be much better than what I received yesterday. This wasn’t a great exhibition of ensuring customer...
