We’ve been here a bunch of times. The quality isn’t as good as other diners, but it’s on our route and enough to satisfy us. Yesterday however was a different experience. We ordered a “spiderman” for our daughter which includes linguini, 1 meatball, and tomato sauce. We knew she would like Alfredo better, so I asked the kind young waiter if the chef could do that. They agreed and we received her plate. First off, it wasn’t even linguini. It was spaghetti, but whatever not a big deal. Then we tried it and it was completely bland with no seasoning. Fine I’d rather have less sodium in my daughter’s dish anyway so we just went with it even though it tasted like just oil and cream. About 4 spoons in after my daughter refused to eat the flavorless dish, I realize there were little white chunks in the food which I thought were maybe parmigian or cream chunks. It wasn’t until I was packing the barely eaten dish that I tasted one of the chunks and i realize it was egg! which my daughter and many young children are typically allergic to. My daughter started developing a rash around her mouth and my husband had to administer Zyrtec which we thankfully always carry. Even then I wasn’t going to complain, pay, and just leave and never come back. As the young waiter came back to collect our dishes, I decided to just nicely mention it to him just in case this could possibly happen to another person or child. He was super apologetic, and we were both kind to each other about the situation. Then all of a sudden, some old white woman with a nasty face approaches us who I believe was a manager. She had her arms crossed as if she was ready to have an argument with us. I told her what had happened and she refused to believe us saying there’s literally no way eggs could have gotten in there. After A few exchanges, it was obvious that she was an idiot and didn’t even want to hear our side. I even mentioned that it didn’t even taste like Alfredo and she just looked at it and said yes that’s our Alfredo. How the heck would you know without tasting it? And when I told her it had no salt taste considering cheese has a salty taste, she said, “we don’t put salt in our Alfredo.” 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. I said, “isn’t parmigiana cheese salty?” She said with her arms crossed still “I don’t know.” 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. At that point I stopped talking and told her to just take it off our check. She then comes back with a bogus excuse, saying she talked to the chef and he said there was no way there were eggs near it. Considering her word choices and the fact that a diner has frequent egg orders, there’s no way it’s impossible. I don’t think she even talked to the chef. As I was leaving, I approached our young waiter and thanked him for being so kind and that he didn’t need to call her over. I said “you were very kind, but she is not, so thank you for serving us.” Since it wasn’t his fault, we left him a good tip. What the manager doesn’t realize is that we would’ve paid for the dish and left quietly but because of her poor attitude and lack of customer service skills, she just did a disservice to her own restaurant and lost them money. She clearly hates her job and really needs to stop working there. I don’t even think any amount of training will help this woman be kinder at this point. If you go, avoid the wrinkle faced old white woman. Wish I got her name. More importantly, thankful we didn’t need to call...

We ordered food online online my husband went in to pick it up, Checked the order b4 we left the lot. Noticed we were missing our lox platter. He went back in and was told by the rude ,nasty, & dismissive young lady that there was no lox. And we were reimbursed the cost of the item * Basically we should be happy that we were reimbursed $13 given a $1.50 bagel with 2 pats of cream cheese..*
The manager however was gracious enough to refund our meal and we really appreciate it However, it just takes one lack luster experience from a rude employee to deter people from coming back to any establishment. And unfortunately this young lady was the epitome of someone who has no interest in working. I was watching through the windows. So I did see what was going on, props to the manager who stepped in.. but your employee stinks. I can't believe we were given such a dismissive response from face of your establishment who apparently is very laxed and doesn't for someone else's business. We did like to come there and have visited several times however, due to this last experience it will be the last time .
if we can't get breakfast order right nor can we contacted if there is an issue why would we go back? This employee was RUDE Or just lazy and it's a turn off.
Wishing you the best of luck during these hard times. Hopefully you will find people who want to work and are prideful of the work they do. Not rude obnoxious and dismissive Is workers made us feel like we should just be happy and take what they gave us.
2x super shoutout to the manager who handled this situation quickly and effectively. Oviously it's not the diner itself it's certain employees who have no business working in the service industries.
I know it's hard to find people to work in the service industry however Just because you want a job doesn't mean you are fit for this...
Read moreEditing my review because my most recent visit was so disappointing I will never be returning. First off - server served our coffee by grabbing the rim of the coffee mug with his hands, instead of the handle. Second - I ordered the French Toast stack (french toast sandwich with cream cheese and fruit - a version of stuffed french toast). I received regular french toast. Ok - not a deal breaker. I told the server 'This isn't what I ordered' and his response was "Oh I didn't hear that, would you like me to fix it?".... uh... yeah. He took it go to 'put fruit on top'. I told him that still wasn't what I ordered. He had no clue what menu item I was talking about, he had to go grab a menu, have me point it out, then took my plate into the back. 5 minutes later he brings me the same pieces of french toast, now burned from having been reheated on the griddle, with minimal fruit / stuffing. He says "here they made it fresh for you". Look - I'm fine with using the same pieces of french toast but 1) that is not 'making it fresh' and 2) if you burn it, toss it. We get the bill, we were upcharged for the full price of the item that was messed up. Fine. Usually when a restaurant screws up they make it up to you - but this server was clearly new or incompetent (or both) so I'll pay. I go up front and they ask how my meal was. I say "terrible - the service was horrible". The cashier looks me right in the eye says "Oh I'm sorry" give me change and says "I hope the rest of your day is better:.... are you serious? Why bother asking if you have no interest in my answer? Clearly there is no attempt to make any screw up right. On top of all of this my husbands hash browns were served with green peppers in them - clearly from a sloppy kitchen and his sandwich was edible but we can't say much more for it. I'm done with this place - there are plenty of diners around. Do not waste...
