🌞🍴 Morning Glory Diner Review 🍴🌞
📍 Location: 78 Portland Rd, Bridgton, ME 04009
🌟 Overview: Frequenting Sebago Lake during the summer, I decided to explore the local food scene, starting with a breakfast at the charming Morning Glory Diner. This cozy spot is a must-visit for its standout homemade treats and creative coffee concoctions! ☕️🍩
🍞 Cinnamon Buns & Coffee: One of their signatures includes the best homemade cinnamon buns you can find, paired with the most inventive coffee drinks topped with s’mores or even warm cinnamon buns! 🤤 You won’t be disappointed indulging in one of these dreamy drinks.
🌯 Breakfast Burrito: The star of our morning was the breakfast burrito with sausage, complemented by house-made maple-flavored sour cream 🍁🥚—a solid 8/10! Delicious and well-seasoned, though the accompanying potatoes could have been a tad crispier.
🍳 Irish Benedict: Perfectly cooked eggs atop a Benedict that just needed a touch more flavor in the hash—another 8/10. A solid choice for savory lovers!
🧇 Strawberry Waffles: For those with a sweet tooth, the strawberry waffles come generously topped with whipped cream, making it a decadent treat. Perfectly satisfying and also an 8/10. 🍓🍦
🌼 Ambiance & Seating: With cute summer vibes and some outdoor seating, it’s a wonderful spot to relax. The ambiance scores a 6/10—simple but sweet. 🌞🪑
💵 Affordance: With a rating of 7/10, it offers reasonable prices for quality meals.
👍 Recommendation: Highly recommended if you’re vacationing in the area! A delightful spot to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast with a local flair. 🚣♂️🏞

Read moreI want to first say that I have worked in the service industry for more than 40 years and I completely understand having a off day where you can never get out of the weeds. I also managed to spill my dirty chai latte as soon as it was brought to my table so that added to the difficulty of the overall experience. BUT!!! The service mishaps seemed endless. Although we were seated immediately It took about 10 minutes for the server to speak to us and another 10 before coming to take our order. We were a 4 top and we did see single patrons coming in after us and being served first. 2 people in our party were served food 10 minutes before the other 2 and when it arrived we had to ask for silverware that took 5 minutes to get after the other food arrived. Our server was definitely overwhelmed and another started assisting. Both seemed stressed and items like syrup and napkins had to be asked for. Now back to me spilling my drink. The server promptly grabbed some paper towels and gave them to me to clean the spill. I was fine with cleaning but the server never returned so I had to go behind the counter to find the trash and ask for a wet cloth to get the sticky part off. I had to ask 3 different people to make me a new drink as well. The eggs appeared to be liquid eggs and the waffle appeared to be from frozen or just a horrible box mix. Burrito was good and fries as well. There is potential here but definitely a lot to improve on. I would also like to add that there were several hidden costs like a 4% operating fee and additional costs to sub protein that the server did not...

We recently had brunch at Morning Glory, and it was worth the drive from the Portland area. The menu was overwhelming (in a good way), and everything we tried was delicious. If they don’t have it, you probably don’t need it. Burgers, waffles, pancakes, eggs, biscuits & gravy, omelets… we had a hard time deciding what to order! Don’t even get us started on their morning drinks — mocktails, the most creative coffees and lattes, and lemonades filled their drinks menu.
We wanted to try everything, so we ordered the French toast, breakfast burger, breakfast quesadilla, and eggs Benedict. I still struggle with picking a favorite dish because it was all delicious. The burger and quesadilla were a highlight for us, though. The burger was cooked to perfection, and the buns were French toast. The quesadilla came with a very yummy maple sour cream dip, unlike anything I’ve had at other breakfast spots. That’s the one thing about Morning Glory Diner — they take your everyday breakfast foods to the next level.
Their specialty coffees are another example of elevating simple things. We ordered the cinnamon roll latte and s’mores, and both were unreal—it was like dessert and coffee at once. They were topped with the most creative toppings (a cinnamon bun + graham crackers, and chocolate), and now I don’t want to have my coffee any other way!
If you’re in the area or looking for a nice getaway from the Portland region, you cannot miss Morning...
