Nora Belle's — Restaurant in Bridgton

I do have mixed feelings about Nora Belle. Let's start with the positives. First, let me say that the owner is great, friendly and provides a unique and friendly/fun mood to the entire place! You can see he works hard every single day to make this happen. The pizza dough is AMAZING, the dough is truly unique and is extremely well made. Some of the toppings were also perfect and fresh!

Now, my issues, I get that this is a unique place but we waited about an hour and a half for the food to come which is just too long. To be clear, I'm not expecting my food to come in 15 minutes (Afterall it's a single person cooking and good food takes time). I would be completely okay with 45 minutes to an hour for a great pizza but an hour and a half is just too long.

My other issue and this might be due to the fact that we came on the later side of the night, it seems that most toppings had ran out and we didn't get any choices (which led to my partner disliking both pizzas, one because she didn't like an ingredient and the other one, just lacked ingredients/seasonings). I get the concept of the owner putting a pizza together by himself depending on customer's preferences (and I like the concept!) but it seems that he just didn't have many ingredients left...

What a great find!! I was up in the Bridgton, Maine area looking for some good pizza and stumbled upon Nora Belle’s! Two great guys opened up this little “foody type” pizza place , wood-fired oven , all fresh ingredients , it gets even crazier and better! There is no menu and in fact, it’s so cozy you think you are walking into someone’s personal living room to eat …well..you are !!! The dough is awesome, sauce is nice and fresh , cheese is great! They will tell you what they are cooking today or you can order what you want, it’s all good! Even have a decent selection of some craft beers but could get a little bigger ! They are so nice that when I was there, a very nice woman came in for a pizza the first time and they gave it to her for free , so nice ! I can’t wait to go back...

The promise of Nora Belle’s is incredible pizza and what you get is so much more.

They describe it as a “living room with a pizza oven” and that’s what it is. You are treated like family from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out the door, and the same care and effort is put into the craft of their pizza-making. You will feel at home, and you will feel taken care of.

If you are in town, passing through town or planning a trip to the area, stop here. Few places leave a lasting impression like this, and it’s for that reason we will be back. This an experience you will not want to miss.
